Highlights
  • El Calafate - Early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate to go to Los Glaciares National Park, an emblem of Argentine Patagonia, located at a distance of 80 km.
  • Puerto Bajo las Sombras - Hielo y Aventura - After an hour of travel aboard our transport, we will reach the boarding dock in the port “Bajo de las Sombras”.

We will embark on a 20-minute journey through the Rico arm, enjoying impressive panoramic views of the majestic Perito Moreno glacier.

  • Perito Moreno Glacier Base - Upon reaching the opposite shore, in an exclusive area for tour participants, we will disembark. Our specialized bilingual mountain guides will warmly welcome you and lead you to the refuge. After fine-tuning the final details with the group, made up of no more than 10 people, we will begin the journey with the guides along the shore of the lake towards the edge of the Perito Moreno glacier.

Once on the ice, each participant will receive a pair of crampons to place in their shoes, with detailed instructions for their correct use. These metal devices ensure a stable and safe walk on the ice, allowing us to explore the glacier with confidence.

  • Perito Moreno Glacier - The walking circuit on the glacier lasts approximately 3 hours between ice and moraine. Similar to traditional Minitrekking, but it is much more physically intense due to the pace of walking. You cover almost twice the distance in the same time and there are a lot of slopes. The walk on the ice with crampons takes approximately one hour. It is done 1km west of the traditional Minitrekking area and during the tour we will discover streams, small lagoons, ravines, crevices and ice formations with impressive blue tones.
  • Minitrekking Tour to Moreno Glacier - In addition, a visit to an impressive waterfall located a few meters from the glacier will be contemplated.

To finish this luxury experience, we will enjoy a glass of whiskey, with ice obtained directly from the glacier. Once the ceremony is over, we will return to the refuge and embark on a 20-minute sailing to the port of Bajo de las Sombras, where the bus will be waiting for us to take us to the viewpoint.

  • Perito Moreno Glacier Walkways - We will have free time to have lunch in the area (with a restaurant available) and tour the walkways and balconies of the Perito Moreno glacier, built in levels to offer unique views from different perspectives, ideal for capturing exceptional photographs.
  • El Calafate - At the conclusion of this unforgettable experience, we will return to the hotels in central El Calafate aboard our transfer, completing a day full of exciting explorations and spectacular views.

Wonderful Nature - Definitely going to Perito Moreno Glaciers was one of my breathtaking travel. Nature is around terrific and peaceful. Unfortunately, weather was a little non cooperative, rain with snow, but it was still a part of great experience. My mistake was buying the tour through the third party. Just go to Hielo & Aventura, it’s only one company there does the trekking tour. Also, so called “Pro tour” is the same trekking N2 , I paid more money for no additional. Be careful.
