Our journey encompasses a road trip along the Costa Blanca, progressing into the mountain range of Alicante. The transition to a strikingly divergent landscape is marked by a natural frontier just a stone’s throw away. This historic place saw the emergence of an Arab warrior, a legend weaved into the origins of the Moors and Christians festival. Villages like La Nucía, Polop, Callosa d´en Sarriá, Benimantell, and Guadalest seamlessly blend into the environment, appearing to sprout from the mountain itself. Our first halt is at Polop de la Marina, remembered for being Gabriel Miró’s preferred summer retreat. Authentic and local, we will sample water from its natural wellspring. Moving forward, we head to Guadalest, acclaimed as one of Spain’s most delightful and frequently visited spots. Our journey concludes at the Fuentes del Algar, a collection of picturesque pools and waterfalls providing solace with their refreshing coolness. The tour ends as we return from these springs. It’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes. Swimwear and rock-appropriate footwear are optional, should you wish to dive into the fountains.
