So much information, we covered the whole process, including the science and chemistry needed to create the best Tea. We now know the difference! Learn How the Highest Quality Tea in the World is Made in Sri Lanka at Walpewatte Tea Factory - Our family visited the Halpewatte Tea Factory and had a very enjoyable time. We booked the Halpewatte Tea Factory Tour and our guide Rajha taught us a everything about the process of making dried tea leaves from picking them fresh from the tree trhough all the way to packaging them to market. The tour was an immersive experience and we were encouraged to asked questions at any time during the tour. Our tour finished with a tasting of some of Halpewatte's Awarding Winning Tea Selections. Excellent tour with our enigmatic guide Rajha - This tour is really worth the visit, I'm not even a tea drinker but learning and seeing how the manufacturing process is done was fascinating. Our guide Rajha was very engaging and welcomed all of our questions. It's a must do activity if in Ella.

Unique and Memorable - Great experience, the guide Sallay was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Being able to pick the leaves myself for a while was a highlight. The incredible views from the cafe are a great place to enjoy some tea.

An authentic lesson on tea and its processing in Sri Lanka - Rajha, our guide, had over 40 years of experience in the business and knew the entire process by heart. We were given an authentic lesson about tea and the way it is processed in Sri Lankan factories. An hour well spent where we learned a lot and started to see tea in a different way. I recommend.

Friendly and very informative tour - Really interesting classroom style learning and then a thorough factory tour. Learnt soo much about how our daily cuppa tea gets to our table! Rajha was a great guide and talked us through the whole process from the beginnings of tea in China, to the start of tea planting in Sri Lanka and the whole stepwise process to the tea in our cups. Nice short trip - Today we did a tour with guide Rajha. He first explained to us about the plants and the history of the tea plantations. He then explained to us the process as it is made in the factory from plant to tea. You then also see this process inside the factory. A fun tour that didn't last too long
