Downstream Adventures Rafting - Clear Creek - We ask that guest arrive at our location 30 minutes before the scheduled trip time to allow for check-in. After checking in, guests will meet their guides who will begin preparing them for the journey to come. Guests will receive the necessary equipment and receive a lesson in basic river safety. Next, they will load onto the shuttle vehicle and begin the short ride to the creekside put-in.
After cruising through several miles of family-friendly whitewater, guests will reach the take out where our shuttle will be waiting to bring them back to the outpost (but not before the ceremonial group high five). Guests will return to our outpost where they will have the opportunity to purchase photos of their excursion, shop for a souvenir, or get recommendation from their guide for other local activities and restaurants.

Additional Information
Middle Clear Creek ranks among the best introductory rafting options in the country. Packed with a multitude of rapids and steeped in historical interest, its appeal is undeniable. Clear Creek harbors more rapids than almost any other route in the US. However, the rapids in our Middle section are simple and ideal for families with kids, or anyone desiring a less intense experience. While navigating this exceptional stretch of whitewater, rafters may catch glimpses of Colorado’s thriving gold mining past and perhaps encounter a miner or two along the way.
- Although the river itself is not wheelchair access, in most cases we can make special arrangements for our guests’ needs.

Rafting with Fam! - Family had a blast, our teenage boys were nervous since we had never been rafting but the beginners session was perfect and they had so much fun, guides were great and we can’t wait to go back to try the intermediate session.

Exceeded Expectations! - We had an amazing time! So glad we went. Our daughter was super nervous at first but ended up having a blast and wants to go again! Our guide Henry was so nice great attitude and made it super fun for us. He told great stories. We will definitely come back next time we are in Colorado!

Wonderful experience for our first time! - Great for beginners yet still challenging. Staff was friendly, engaging, and interactive. Very organized and lots of fun! So glad wet suits and splash coats were provided.

Fun exhilarating adventure with a solid company - This was a blast because the water was up so much making the experience exactly the amount of excitement without being too nerve racking for beginners.
Our guide, Savanna, was very pleasant and gave clear instructions as we navigated the river.
Because this was early in the season, the water was quite cold but the provided wetsuits kept up pretty warm even though we got totally soaked. Getting wet was fun!
The operation is well run and all the employees were quite pleasant. Plan on renting the bootees they have to keep your feet dry.
I feel these should be built into the cost of the adventure instead of charging an additional 5 dollars as an unexpected cost.
Overall, I would highly recommend this adventure company if you are looking to ride some beginner or intermediate rapids.

Epic adventure! - This was such an amazing experience. This was our first time and we had two kids, ages 8 and 10. Sarah, our guide, was fabulous in making sure our safety came first and that we had a great time. Hands down one of our favorite memories from our vacation. We can't wait to come back!

A fun time! - Kennedy was our guide and she did a fabulous job! She was very informative and took great care of the 4 of us! This was truly a beginner route and we feel we could have done a bit more. All in all this was a great time!

An Outstanding Adventure - Outstanding day on the water! The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, efficient and knowledgeable. The raft guides were all excellent, especially our guide Jeff. He made our trip downriver so much fun. We had an absolute blast! This activity is great for children, teens, families, couples or solo. An exceptional independently owned business who truly cares about its patrons and it shows. Highly Recommended!
