Kyambura Gorge is one of the best chimpanzee-tracking areas in Uganda. Only a small group of about 12 people is required, making it more of a private tour. You not only encounter chimpanzees but also Hippos in the river Kyambura, elephants, Uganda Kobs, Baboons, Black and white colobus monkeys, Red-tails Monkeys, and much more.
Our guide from Wild Expeditions Uganda will pick you up at your hotel at the appointed time, and after that start your journey to the western region of Uganda. The Journey will take about 8 hours, with a stopper over at the Equator for a coffee break, and Mbarara City for lunch. The journey takes you through one of the most scenic regions of Uganda where you see huge tea plantations, amazing roadside markets, the large Kalinzu forest home to large communities of chimpanzees, vast areas dotted with large crater lakes, and finally through the amazing Queen Elizabeth National park arriving late afternoon at your lodge
