Arrival - Entebbe International Airport.
Entebbe - Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, our representative will be ready to receive you. Then after meet and greet, you will be transferred to your booked hotel in Entebbe for a check-in and refreshment.
In case of early arrival, you may opt to visit the Entebbe Zoo or Entebbe Botanical garden for a short excursion.
Transfer & Bigodi Community Walk - Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale Forest National Park - Our driver guide will pick you up after your breakfast and transfer you to your lodge. As you drive through the countryside, enjoy the remarkable landscapes, traditional homes and catch glimpses of the different striking bird species. Have a stopover for lunch in Fort portal town – the tourism capital of Uganda because of the beautiful landscapes and attractions. You will arrive at your lodging for a check-in and prepare for the Bigodi community experience that will immerse you fully into the locals’ daily lifestyle and this will lead you to the Coffee experience, banana bear making, basket making and traditional healer.
Later after this memorable experience return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Alternatively you can take a flight to the Kasese airstrip from where you will be picked up and transferred to the lodge.
Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk - Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale Forest National Park - Your driver guide will transfer you to the briefing place right after breakfast, he will then hand in your details and permits for registration and allocation of chimpanzee community to trek. You will then be allocated to a chimpanzee community and your ranger guide will lead you on the trek in search of this great ape. Watch the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor, feed, play and rest.
In the afternoon, explore the Bigodi sanctuary is impressive offering probable sights of bird species like great blue turaco and gonoleks. Other swamps dwelling species like Sitatunga may also be viewed.
Transfer & Ruboni Community Experience - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 157km about 2 – 3 hours’ drive enjoying the impressive landscapes of Rwenzori Mountains standing as the third highest mountain in Africa with glacial peaks. A stop at Ruboni community on its foothills presents an insight into the cultural setting of the Bakonjo people that have lived in this area for over 300 hundred years past. Proceed on to your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Game drive & Boat Safari
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After your early morning breakfast, your tour guide will take you out for an early morning game drive exploring the park in the Kasenyi plains searching for predators and grazers on a game drive.
Return to the lodge for lunch after you will take on a boat safari on Kazinga Channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This offers an excellent opportunity for photography moments of Hippos, Buffaloes, Elephants and magnificent bird species by the water.
Transfer & En-route Ishasha Sector - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Ultimate Gorilla Trekking & Transfer - Lake Mutanda
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park featuring a minimum of 400 mountain gorillas presents a remarkable opportunity to explore these critically endangered Apes. The trekking encounter commences at 8am at the respective gorilla trekking region with briefing conducted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority park rangers. This is followed by the trek to the forested hilly landscapes of Bwindi dubbed Impenetrable with beautiful forest cover always covered by mist in the morning, scenic slopes, abundant birdlife and eventually the mountain gorillas. The viewing of these gentle giants is limited to one hour but the entire return trek can last between 2 – 8 hours. After the trek, you drive to Lake Mutanda for an afternoon relaxation and overnight driving through the fascinating Kigezi Highlands that gives you a pictorial opportunity to photograph these rolling hills as well as the great Virungas.
Golden Monkey Trekking & Lake Mutanda Exploration
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park - Today you will wake up very early in the morning, then your guide will take you to the park headquarters for the briefing before you head to the jungle to trek the golden monkeys, an endemic species of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in southwestern Uganda. The trip will take you through the jungles of Mgahinga National park, which consists of bamboo and a variety of indigenous plants like giant lobelia. During the trip, your national park guide will tell you about the national park’s history and the fauna and flora that the park holds. Later you will return to the island for lunch and prepare for the lake exploration as you explore the lake on the boat.
For the bird watchers will appreciate this cruise as it takes you around the lake that has a variety of bird species.
You will also visit the island caves as well as the community on Mutanda island to have a village walk and interact with the locals and hike to the top of the island for the spectacular views out of this world.
Transfer & Igongo Cultural Center - Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park - We will have breakfast at leisure and depart to Lake Mburo National Park.
We shall have a stop-over in Mbarara city for en-route lunch and a cultural visit at Igongo Cultural Center before proceeding to the booked lodge.
Cycling Safari & Transfer - Entebbe International Airport
Lake Mburo National Park - After breakfast you will go for a cycling safari through the park. There are no large hills to climb. You cross some marshy low-lying areas, skirting larger hills through small villages and smallholdings. In the afternoon transfer to Entebbe International airport with a stop over at the Uganda equator for a short pictorial moment before proceeding for your outbound flight.
