Must See! - We had a lovely time with our tour guide Theresa. She made Herculaneum come to life, explaining the sites in a way that let us imagine what it was like to live there. Seeing the beautiful jewelry and coins in the museum was a highlight. The huge door with preserved wood was another. The wine bar (with menu) another! I'm amazed how fancy people lived so long ago. Theresa knew the answers to all my questions. Herculaneum is a must see!

Visit of Herculaneum ruins - So I met Sofia, my guide outside the entrance to the ruins. I was fortunate to have a super informed and passionate local to take me around this archaeological site. I have been to many sites over the years but this is up their as one the best preserved. The scale of the buildings, some with original beams and original frescos took you back 2000 years. Many archaeological sites from this era just give you the foundations and layout of homes. Here you walked the streets and felt totally immersed. Sofia brought this location to life for me and I was spoilt being able to ask as many questions as I wanted. The best money I have spent on a guided tour. I would highly recommend anyone to have Sofia as a guide.
