A perfect half day adventure! - We were staying outside of Antigua and our driver, Rene, met us at the agreed upon location, right on time. The car was clean and Rene was so nice. Our tour guide, Limba, was awesome. We stopped along the way for Limba to show us plants, berries, baby birds, beetles, and more. The views of Volcanoe Pacaya were amazing!! Truly an incredible place to experience. We also got to roast marshmallows on the heat from the old lava. The Lava Shop had beautiful handmade souvenirs that were more than reasonably priced. And to top it all off, after I left my phone in Rene's car - he met us in Antigua to return my phone. Wonderful tour and even more wonderful people.

Perfect tour - highly recommend - The tour was amazing. We got picked up at 6am by a friendly driver Antonio and drove the the Pacaya (1 hour+). There we met our tour guide Kevin who speaks both Spanish ans English and started hiking. We took the path through the forest, it was a moderate hike. Kevin answered all of questions and talked about the surroundings. Overall, we hiked at our pace and the experience Itself was amazing.

Blue Skies and Volvano Pies - The tour was fantastic! Driver was on time and nice to talk to. We took horses most of the way up which was fun! We hit the lava store which was cool then we were the first to get to the area where they cook pizza! We ordered a pizza and sat and watched the other volcano erupt in the distance. We also got to roast marshmallows. There were friendly dogs all around that we played with. After some time chillin and eating pizza, we headed back down, without using the horses this time. The guide was friendly and let us take our time at our own speed. Great experience!

Amazing volcano trip! - Our guide was incredibly courteous, knowledgeable, and focused on our safety. He worked at our pace (which started off a bit slow thanks to be a former first responder whose lungs were not up to the task initially.) Once we hit our stride, we really got to see some amazing views, and even "skiied" on the way down (once he realized we could take it to the next level. Be prepared to hike a long distance on sand uphill, which is no easy task. Bring plenty of water and dont try to do more than you think you can! The journey TO the volcano from Antigua is an adventure on its own!

Beautiful views and a challenging hike! - The driver was so nice and early at our pre-arranged meeting spot. He waited there until our hike was over and was very knowledgeable about the local area. Kevin, our guide to the top was quick and always checked on us. We did the whole experience in 4-5 hours to include an hour ride in both directions from Antigua. Your mileage may vary depending how in shape you are. Accent to top is about 1800 ft from entrance with a typical 20-35 degree grade so be prepared. The pizza at the top costs Q.250 so if thatā€™s an experience you want to try it is available to you. We were pleased with both of our guides and had a great time. Kevin also took great pictures.

Read story - The hike was not too hard to complete but the altitude change did make it harder than normal. Our tour guide was friendly, helpful, and shy. He was very patient when my friend and I needed to take breaks to adjest to altidue changes. Overall, the hike went well. One major complaint is about the men offering horseback riding "in case we get tired". At the beginning of the hike, as we were going up the cobblestone pathway, the 3 men (and 3 horses) trailed very closely behind us. As we were getting tired, they were taunting us by shouting "Uber", "taxi", and "ambulance". Our tour guide said they were following for emergencies but once we told the men that we felt uncomfortable with the horses being directly on our heels, we asked them to stop. They went away. Be aware of this and nip it in the bud.

Very Disappointed - Very unprofessional. They cancelled last minute with no explanation after previously confirming and charging my credit card. This last minute cancellation did not allow us time to book another tour. I would strongly recommend avoiding this operator if you want to avoid disappointment last minute.
