Don’t miss this!! - This excursion with Michal was everything we hoped it would be and so much more. As others have said, Michal immediately feels like an old friend, so comfortable and easy to talk to. He is thoughtful, kind and accommodating, and makes every effort to tailor your trip to your specific interests. Hluboká Chateau turned out to be our favorite castle out of all we visited over two weeks, a perfect stop along the way. We chose to spend the night in Cesky Krumlov and Michal was so very helpful in coordinating with us for this change to the itinerary and transporting our luggage while we toured the castle. He posseses a wealth of knowledge surrounding Czech culture, history and current events, and he is happy to chat or drive quietly according to your preference. The traditional Czech lunch along the river was delicious and he provided excellent recommendations for the remainder of our time in Cesky Krumlov. You really cannot ask for a better tour guide than Michal. Time spent in his company was absolutely the highlight of our whole trip!

Highly recommended. Just book it. - Michal was a wonderful guide. The weather was not the greatest but the trip was fabulous. We were able to customize the trip to our liking and Michal did the rest. The van was very comfortable. It was our last day in Europe as part of a river cruise so a great ending.

One of the best tours of our entire trip! - We had the pleasure of touring Cesky Krumlov, Hluboka Nad Vltavou Castle, and the beautiful town of Pisek with Michal November 8, 2023. Michal is a wonderful guide and person to share the day with. Having a private tour with him was an excellent experience and he felt like a knowledgeable old friend shortly after we met. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in a very comfortable and clean van and Michal had usb cords to charge our devices on hand. As we were walking to Michal’s van we mentioned we would be missing breakfast at the hotel (he picked us up at 7 and the hotel restaurant opened at 7) and he immediately offered to take us somewhere for breakfast. We declined the breakfast offer so our first stop was Hluboka Nad Vltavou Castle where we walked the gardens and took in great views while Michal provided us with the history of the castle, family and town. The walk up to the castle was steep, but worth the effort as we were amazed by the beauty of the grounds and castle. We had spent just under two weeks walking many miles on cobblestoned streets and sidewalks in other countries before our visit to the Czech Republic and our feet and knees were sore. But Michal was ever so patient and matched our pace. On our way back down to Michal’s vehicle we stopped at a bakery as Michal said we had to try a kolacek - yummy! After a few years of waiting, I was excited to finally visit Cesky Krumlov and I was not disappointed! Michal communicated with me after I booked the tour to make sure I knew due to the time of the year, the interior of Cesky Krumlov Castle would not be open for viewing and to let me know of the options available for the tour in addition to Cesky Krumlov. I told him of my love of photography and he made sure our tour included great scenic spots. We climbed the 162 steps to the castle tower which is a definite must do for great photos if you’re physically able! The town is truly charming. I think we visited at the right time as it wasn’t crowded as I imagine it is during the summer, and the weather was beautiful as the town. Michal let us select the restaurant for lunch in Cesky Krumlov. We chose the Two Mary Restaurant (U Dwau Maryi on Tripadvisor) and the food was delicious and we were able to sit outside on the terrace to enjoy a beautiful view of the river. The drive through the Czech countryside was very relaxing and beautiful. I highly suggest a visit to Pisek be included in your tour as it’s a charming town without an influx of tourists. We had such a great and relaxing day, we decided we will visit Prague for a third time sometime in the future to take another tour or two with Michal. Thank you Michal for an amazing day!

Guide was fantastic, flexible and fun - We invented a private one-day tour to Cesky Krumlov AND the monastery at Sazava (very cool for fans of the video game Kingdom Come). Michel made this happen! His van was very comfortable, and Michel was terrific with information, flexibility and personality. He helped plan stops for breakfast and lunch. He also handled tickets needed. He has intimate knowledge of Cesky and frankly all around Praha. HIGHLY recommended!

Best Tour Guide Ever! - I booked this tour hoping that we could customize it and Michal did not disappoint! We exchanged several emails to make it a perfect day. Michal had several great suggestions for fitting everything in, including lengthening the trip and ordering ahead so that when we arrived at his favorite restaurant our food was ready. We wanted to see the baroque theater and the main castle, so Michal arranged for two tours at Cesky Krumlov castle. They were both great. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch, walked around the town, and stopped at Konopiste castle for another wonderful tour on our way back to Prague. The 11-hour day flew by, since Michal is very engaging, friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. The following day we took another tour with Michal to Kutna Hora, which was equally wonderful. Both tours were definite highlights of our time in the Czech Republic. I highly recommend taking tours with Michal!

Excellent guide for Prague and surrounding areas - Perfection! Michal is everything you want in a tour guide. You want history, religion or detailed architecture knowledge? He's got it. Life and culture in Czech Republic? He's got it. A tour showing you all the cool locations in your favorite action films? He's got it. But mostly Michal is a great guy you want to spend the day with learning about his country. Safe and comfortable driver, Personable and interesting .and flexible if you want to plan your day on the fly. We initially booked two tours with Michal, one a walking tour of Prague and then a full day trip to Cesky Krumlov (gorgeous). Both days were fabulous site seeing, getting meals and snacks etc. His restaurant recommendations were honest and excellent, and we were never taken to tourist traps. Things were so good in fact we decided to book a 3rd trip a few days later to see Kutna Hora (also very cool). We've been lucky enough to travel to many wonderful places and we consider Michal one of the best guides we've ever had. We recommend without hesitation for families, couples, seniors, etc. You wont regret spending the day with Michal.
