Additional Information

Moroccan culinary art, renowned as one of the most flavorful in North Africa, is a pleasure to experience. Our journey begins in the historic medina, at place de l’Horloge, from where we’ll proceed to the markets of Essaouira. We’ll explore these vibrant marketplaces, purchasing fresh ingredients from the local vendors. Once we’re stocked up, we’ll head back to my home where a glass of Moroccan mint tea awaits you. Subsequent to this, we’ll dive into the art of cooking, where I’ll guide you step by step in conjuring up our couscous - a recipe passed down from my grandmother.

Finally, we’ll bask in the fruits of our labor, enjoying our cooked dishes accompanied by an exquisite cup of Berber mint tea! I’ll also be unveiling the ‘secret of good’ to you!

Join me in Essaouira for a unique culinary journey unlike conventional cooking classes.

Very nice experience - The cooks are very friendly, The setting is beautiful, functional and very clean. Very nice dining experience. Pleasant atmosphere, Everything is well organized and anticipated. We tasted our achievements: -chickpea soup: harira -Saouri sardine tagine It was excellent, The only regret was that we did not have any wine to accompany the meal because the workshop does not have a license for alcoholic beverages.

Delicious Experience - It was wonderful to prepare and then taste authentic Moroccan food. Fatima spoke good English and was able to explain everything to us. We loved walking around the local market and shops to buy ingredients and then being welcomed into her home. Extremely good value. Highly recommended.

To do without hesitation! - We chose to cook a chicken, vegetable and prune tagine. Fatima welcomed us into her home after shopping together at the market outside the medina. We prepared, cooked and ate everything together. With all the steps, explanations and tips of Fatima. We had a great time. Fatima and her husband do everything to make you feel comfortable and made us feel very welcome. It's a great experience! I leave with a very good basis to finally know how to make a real tagine!! 😊

Happy cooking with lovely people - A very successful day of classes with the warm and lovely Fatima and a fun little group. After shopping at the souk, we cooked two different tajines and a harira. Very tasty and of course much tastier than in the restaurants. A successful day and highly recommended. We had fun - many thanks again to Fatima and her family

Higly recommended - We had a beautiful day with Fatima. Such a warm, hospitable and funny lady. She brought us to the local market, and we decided what dishes we wanted to cook. Afterwards she opened up her home for us, and we felt the most welcome. The food we made together with the master chef turned out amazing, and we couldn’t be more happy. Thank you so much for the nice experience Fatima!

Well worth it! - It was a unique experience! Meeting Fatima and my fellow guest, the full on market experience of choosing your bird, seeing the spices being ground for your own meal, buying from the heaps of local vegetables. And, inat Fatima's home helping with the preparing and eating of the delicious chicken tagine, moroccan sallad, berber pancakes. Not to mention all the shared information, tips, recipes and anecdotes. I would definitely recommend this experience!

More a meal than learning how to cook - It really was not a cooking class but we were preparing the vegetables. Some parts were explained to us. Really we had a meal in a lovely ladies house. She herself was fantastic
