- Avenue Kennedy - We will meet in front of bab doukkalla then we will begin our shopping spree in the local market to acquire the freshest produce. We’ll be selecting meats, baked goods, vegetables, and aromatic spices from my acquaintances at their stalls.\n\nYou’ll have the opportunity to pick out the main ingredient for the tajine, with options including beef, lamb, chicken, fish, or a vegetarian selection. *Should you prefer fish, please inform me in advance so that I can arrange for it.\n\nAfterwards, we’ll proceed to my residence, where I’ll brew traditional Moroccan mint tea. Together, we’ll engage in the culinary process, preparing and cooking the meal. Looking forward to our gathering.

Greetings, I am Abdou. A native Moroccan and an ardent connoisseur of food, my roots are placed between the ancient medina and stunning ESSAOUIRA beach. From a young age, my mother tutored me in the basics of cooking, which later led me to pursue a career as a chef in various Moroccan cities. I am passionate about imparting the splendor of my culture, particularly our food and beverages. If you’re keen on mastering the art of crafting traditional Moroccan tajine or any of our local delicacies, or if you’re on a quest to uncover the essence of Moroccan food and culture, my guidance would be ideal for you. Great experience - The experience with Abdou was great from start to finish. I and my 15 and 12 year old met him near the medina before going to the local food market to select our chicken (live) and vegetables. At his apartment he taught us how to prepare a chicken tagine whilst fielding our numerous questions on Moroccan culture. After eating our delicious tagine we went to buy spices and a tagine pot in his local shops - so much better doing it this way than the usual tourist traps!
Abdou is friendly, extremely helpful (he’s answered my cuisine enquiries now I’m back home) and with fluent English it’s a fantastic experience to delve a little deeper into Moroccan life.

A real highlight of our trip! - My friend and I did a cooking class with Abdou during our trip to Essaouira. We had a fantastic time learning how to cook a proper Moroccan tagine. It was incredibly tasty and he sent us the recipes after! Can highly recommend this!

very pleasant moment - We had a very pleasant time, the visit was excellent and the cooking course very rewarding. The dishes we prepared were among the best we had enjoyed during our trip.

recommended experience - Abdou not only taught us how to cook excellent dishes, he also introduced us to a charming local Point of Sale. He was able to adapt perfectly to the children present, making conversations enriching. I highly recommend this experience without any hesitation.
