  • Minimum age is 8 years
  • Trip note
  • It is important to be noted that the Kathmandu -Lukla - Kathmandu flights often gets delayed by hours or even gets cancelled for a day or few days due to unfavorable weather conditions in the mountain airstrip Lukla. Such unfavorable conditions may arise even during the best seasons including months October and November hence inis always better to prepare ahead. In such cases, you must be prepared for long waits either at Kathmandu or Lukla airports, as this can happen either at the start or at the end of the trek and sometime in both cases.
  • We will do our best to avoid such delays, and arrange the earliest next flight for you but it might not always work well as there are many people in que for days long. In case of emergencies and need of urgent flight, the Helicopter rescue can be another option to escape to and from the mountain, except for some bad weather the Helicopters always have easy excess in the mountains. This can be arranged upon your request with some additional cost which sometime is covered by your insurance as well. The Helicopter can be chartered from both the airports, Kathmandu and Lukla with the tentative cost of US$ 3000 per lift which at a time can accommodate maximum of 5 Person.
  • Having said this, we still suggest you to mentally prepare for possible delay/cancellations and arrange some extra contingency days which we can save for the end of the trip and if everything goes normal these days can be utilized for exploring other beautiful destinations around the valley as per your interest and we, the Adventure Bound is always there to provide you different options to utilize the days in best ways.

EBC trecking very flexible - We had a lot of special requests, all of which were catered for. The trekking plan was adapted flexibly and was designed for safety against altitude sickness, which worked wonderfully. We were given very warm down jackets and sleeping bags (unfortunately they weren't really suitable for sleeping in a tent in the mount everest base camp, but we bought good ones and are very happy with them). Our guide Bibek deserves a special mention. He always kept his nerve with all our last-minute changes of plan, even when we had to abandon the idea of the base camp marathon due to my extreme sleep apnoea. The lodges and rooms that Bibek had chosen for us were all super nice and beautiful. He always took good care of us, including making sure we got enough vitamins. Our lovely young porter Fura was simply great and followed us around in record time. He was always cheerful, even though we had a bit too much stuff with us. All in all, great care, so we want to come again (with Bibek and Fura, if possible). Many thanks

It was the best experience I have ever had. The guide and porters who accompanied me were very kind and I think they made it a good experience. I am grateful for the good trip and the good encounters. Thank you! I love Nepal 🇳🇵

Even on unexplored tours, the impression of the trip depends on the guide. - I was supposed to be on a 14-day tour this time, but I made it in 11 days. Our guide took into account our physical condition and the weather, so we were able to travel safely and enjoyably without monotony. Thank you, Raj!

The best hike to EBC/ Kala Patthar - Adventure Bound was incredibly supportive to reach the Everest Base Camp(EBC) for the first time in the end of Oct. They are super friendly and supportive from the day of our arrival in Nepal to the end of this adventure. Staying at their managed hotel with an office on the ground floor in Kathmandu made communication and inquiries effortless. They paid attention to every detail, allowing us to leave our suitcases and the other stuff that we don’t use during the hike. Santosh, our guide, was incredible from day one. Experienced, friendly, and always prioritizing our conditions, he brought positive energy that made even the toughest parts of the hike enjoyable. Without him, our porter, and the team, reaching Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar wouldn't have been possible. Their support meant everything! Looking forward to our next hike with them.

A dream come true - I had some free time when I changed jobs, so I went on my dream trek to Everest Base Camp. Even though we didn't have much time before departure, the arrangements were made very smoothly. Thank you to the company president, Laxman, and Yasuda for your kind assistance. The trekking guide was Rai, who speaks fluent English. I'm not good at English, so I was a little worried about communication at first, but she was very polite, using the translation function on my phone. She was also very kind and helped me when I got sick with altitude sickness, and thanks to Rai, I was able to finish the trek safely. She was a very reliable and wonderful guide, who took care of me in many small ways, despite the language barrier. The view from Kala Patthar was truly amazing and unforgettable. I was a little worried about traveling alone as a woman, but I was able to make wonderful memories without worrying. I'd like to go trekking in Annapurna next. I'd definitely like to ask for your help again when I do!

Wonderful trekking experience supported by a reliable travel agency and a good guide - I did EBC trekking solo and highly recommend the Adventure Bound and its guide Santosh. He is very attentive, kind, resourceful, and patient. Actually, I couldn't reach the EBC because on the 4th day, when I get out of the lodge, I fell at the stairs and twisted my ankle. I was barely able to walk and was certain that I couldn't make it to the EBC. So we changed the initial itinerary and decided our final destination to be Dinboche, and Nangkartshang peak. Hike up to Nangkartshang peak was tough. I was really slow and if I were in a group tour, any guide would have sent me back to the village. I was that slow, but Santosh was really patient and I was able to reach the peak. The view from there was absolutely stunning. On the way back to Namuche, Santosh suggested me to drop by Khumjung village, which we planned to visit on the 4th day and failed to do, and staying that beautiful village was an another wonderful experience for me. Furthermore, throughout my 12 days of trekking, he kept my room for on my own! Sharing a room with a total stranger must have been pretty stressful, so I really appreciate his effort to arrange rooms for individual use. If I ever have a chance to go to Nepal again, I definitely choose the Adventure Bound and guide Santosh as my partner. Thank you so much.
