Chena Hot Springs - great day, great people - Wonderful day. Nice relaxing time in the HOT water. Enjoyed the ice museum. Very interesting. And COLD! (They loan you a parka … good thing.) The staff were the highlight! Great ride on the bus with Cathy as our driver, from Alaska Wildlife. Great stories about the area on the lengthy drive. The young man at Chena Hot Springs, Sam, was the best. Really seemed like he loved his job. Very personable young man. These two people were both excellent first impressions of their companies. ADDENDUM to original review: My wife left her sneakers in her rented locker. Called for help and they found a tour driver there that could drop them off at our hotel early the next morning. If they get here, this is a 10-STAR review!

Chena Hot Springs and ice museum - Jean was a very informative and interesting driver/guide. She was continually on the lookout for any wildlife and was willing to backtrack if she saw any for us to view. The ice museum was interesting and we enjoyed the $21 apple cider Martini- 1 part vodka/ 2 parts Apple cider - in an ice glass. Unfortunately we did not get to see a professional carver at work. The hot springs were hot! Even in the rain!! We enjoyed all aspects of this tour and would recommend it to others who are looking for a similar experience.

We didn’t see a moose unfortunately but we learned a lot about them. Ice bar was awesome! Definitely do the ice bar and get the martini in the ice glass.
