The whale valley is rich in fascinating history and you could walk endlessly observing the sculptures created by the desert. Our Yaasser Guide very helpful, competent and courteous. Great trip with Yaser - We had 2 fantastic tours with Yaser. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel on both days in his air conditioned car (a must in the current weather) which was also very clean. He greeted us cheerfully and courteously, always opening the door for us. He played Egyptian music for part of the journey on request, and offered us to connect to his car via bluetooth to play our music. He stopped off at a local shop at the start of each trip and checked with us what we wanted to drink and bought it (along with chocolates). On route to the destinations he suggested good spots to stop and take photos and took nice pictures with our camera. Yaser highlighted important spots during the journey which was educational. On the first day we went on the luxury feluca on the Nile. There was a nice location to take pictures before getting on the boat so Yaser made sure we had lovely photos and videos from there. We pre-booked the boat with decorations and cake (with additional cost during booking stage). Feluca looked nice and we were able to go to all the different parts of it and take photos. We saw the sun set on the Nile (also additional cost at time of booking) which was a great experience. The young chap on the boat prepared the food in a hygienic fashion (wearing gloves) and it tasted delicious. The elderly captain also joined in happily for photos and it was a beautiful experience with Yaser also present to make sure everything went smoothly including a proper Egyptian birthday song. We were again able to connect to the speakers with our own music which made it an interesting Nile experience. Cake was nice and they all joined with the birthday celebration. Following the trip Yaser took us to various shops (papyrus making, Egyptian cotton clothing, souvenir shop and oil shop). Yaser reminded us that we were able to see everything for free and there was no obligation to buy anything. The second day was a longer trip to Faiyum with Yaser. From there he joined us for the rest of the trip via 4x4 (driven by a friendly driver too). It was fun driving along the sand dunes (able to stand through the sun roof during the journey as well). We went to Wadi El-Hitan first and a went to the fossils and climate change museum to learn about whale fossils in the middle of the dessert, and Yaser joined for the walk to each fascinating fossil sites. We then went to see the picturesque magic lake and did sand boarding nearby. Then visited the waterfalls where the Wadi El Rayan lakes finish up. Following this we had lunch at a nice restaurant (included in initial booking) overlooking the upper lake (covered and has nice breeze so was comfortable). Yaser then took us to the local Tunis area which is known for pottery making and we were able to make pottery ourselves. Throughout both days Yasser has been fantastic dealing with all locals (there are police stops) and always checking in that we were enjoying ourselves. Stopped over wherever required and bought us sugarcane juice on the journey back (very refreshing). It was helpful that we did not have any unexpected extra charges during the trip. We felt safe with Yaser around on all the trips and recommend him for any tour.

Outstanding day trip from Cairo - The highlight of our trip to Egypt. Our guide was Karim and he was exceptional, making sure we got to do everything we wanted. We did the sandboarding, the valley of the wales, and had some amazing views of the oasis before having an amazing lunch. We also got to dip our toes in to the Magic lake. Would recommend to anyone going to Egypt to get away from the tourists in Giza.
