Fayoum Oasis - In the morning, a representative will pick you up from your Cairo hotel to explore the renowned sites of El Fayoum. The distance from Cairo to Fayoum is approximately 95 km. Today’s itinerary includes visits to Wadi El Ryan, a protected area since 1989. Our tour begins at Wadi Hitan (Valley of the Whales), located about 90 km from Fayoum. Wadi Hitan, part of the Wadi El Rayan Protected Area, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its 40-million-year-old whale skeletons. On the way to the Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls, we’ll stop at Mudawara Mountain before continuing to the waterfalls.
Wadi El-Rayan - Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression in the western desert, situated 42 meters below sea level. It features two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, created in 1970 from the overflow of drainage water from Fayoum’s farmlands. Enjoy sandboarding in Fayoum. A late lunch will be served at a quality restaurant, followed by a transfer back to Cairo. Pick-up and drop-off from Cairo airport, Sphinx airport, New Administrative Capital, New Cairo, Heliopolis, Badr City, Shorouk, Rehab, Obour, Sheraton Almatar, Sheikh Zayed City, or Madinaty City will incur an additional cost.
