- R. da Comunidade Lusíada 4b - Explore the Atlantic in search of marine wildlife with Marine Biologists on board, and learn more about dolphins in their natural habitat. Discover different species of cetaceans, birds and other marine life in an exciting experience in the Algarve !
Departing from Faro, you will be able to enjoy the landscape of Ria Formosa Natural park while we cruise towards the Atlantic ocean. When outside, the guides will look out for different wildlife, specially for cetaceans!
There are great chances to see dolphins like the Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) or the Common dolphin (Delphinus delphis) and if your are lucky we can even spot Orcas or whales.
During this trip you will also be able to spot different species of marine birds like the Northern Gannet (Morus bassanus), Shearwaters and Storm Petrels!
It is also common to see some other animals such as the Ocean Sunfish (Mola mola), Atlantic Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus thynnus) and some species of sharks or marine turtles.
After spotting a group of cetaceans, our team of Marine biologists will provide information about the animals and also collect data for research before we head back to Faro.

At Faro harbour look out for Santa Maria Petisca Ria until you reach the flags. Over there look for the (middle) store with Ocean Vibes logo (you should notice some dolphins on the outside).

Great experience to see dolphins ! - Great morning seeing dolphins! Really enjoyed the knowledge and info about dolphins given by Pedro and the sight of so many dolphins around us

Indescribable - We had an incredible morning with Suzanna and Miguel. We were lucky, after +/- 1 hour of searching, to cross paths with a group of dolphins (common dolphin) who came to meet us. The water was very clear and we could see them underwater next to the boat, very close to us. In addition, we were lucky enough to see a whale, which was unexpected given the season (we were out on June 9). We recommend +++ this outing with Océan Vibes and its biologist-guides who are passionate about their profession and nature. A big thank you to the whole team! 🤩

100% recommended - We had an extraordinary experience!! We saw pilot whales!!! Very rare thing! We also saw bottlenose dolphins 🐬 I don't know what was cooler to experience: the sight of incredibly social animals despite the presence of a baby dolphin, or the stars in the eyes of our guide (the latter didn't had never seen a pilot whale in 7 years of experience). We came back amazed by so much animal grace🤩. A huge THANK YOU to our guide Pedro and his colleague for this idyllic moment 🙏

Respect and kindness for cetaceans!! top - We had the opportunity to go on a 2.5-3 hour boat trip with Inès and Pedro who are marine biologists. They explained to us the different species, and learned many things about these dolphins.
We had the chance to see different families of dolphins and also 2 different species with respect and kindness for the animals.
Thank you for this wonderful meeting!!!

Magical and informative - Made a last minute decision to book this tour and am very glad I did. Pedro and Inez were very friendly and informative. We saw 3 different species of dolphin and a turtle, and learned about the animals and the environment, as well as the important research they are doing.

Wonderful trip! - This was great trip thanks to Ines and Pedro ( hopefully spelled it ok).Pedro has a great knowledge about dolphins , their behaviour and whole trip was very interesting.We saw lots of dolphins and a turtle.

Great tour to be with the dolphins! - Great tour! The guide is very experienced, and we see a few families of dolphins! It was magical to see the wild lives! However even though it says small groups of 9, we had 12, so the boat was packed.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 🐬 - Ocean vibes are committed to conservation and protecting ocean creatures.
The trip was well planned and carried out with high professional standards.
Local information about crustaceans was shared including their vulnerability.
The guides did everything to make us feel comfortable and understood the Atlantic Ocean extremely well to move into waters where we would see dolphins.
The experience was amazing and exhilarating especially when we saw 3 species of dolphins.
The sea was quite choppy when we were out on the water - we got very, very wet which we did not expect, either be expected to get wet and dry out after the boat ride or take a waterproof jacket.

Positive - Unfortunately, we had to cancel the planned tour because the waves and wind were too strong. But the staff immediately offered an alternative, either to give our money back or to try again in the evening. In the evening, I was the only participant, which was absolutely no problem. The amount for the other participant I had actually booked was also refunded to me.
Unfortunately, you can't influence the weather or the number of animals you see.
All in all, a successful trip with very friendly staff.
