Too much history - A solo tour enjoying every part of this church now mosque. Only the upper part can be visited as the lower part is used as a prayer room for Muslims only.

Great experience with Metin. - We booked Metin for two full days to see the Hagia Sofia and other main sights such as the Basilica Cisterns, the Blue Mosque, Taksim, The ancient walls of Constantinople etc. Thank goodness we did - he navigated us efficiently through big crowds and gave us the best, most informative tour of all the places we visited. We’ve booked guides in other locations in the past and we really appreciate that Metin is experienced, highly knowledgeable and has a very good sense of his guests. He made sure we were enjoying ourselves and wasn’t afraid to make suggestions and change our itinerary around a bit. It proved to be superb advice. We saw more things and had some cool, out of the way lunches. Metin really made for a successful and enjoyable first visit to Istanbul. Despite all the research and preparation we did for the trip we now realize we would have been lost without a guide, especially in the huge crowds at some of the main sights. We highly recommend Metin.

The Perfect Tour Guide - Highly professional tour guide! He communicated clearly the meeting place, got there early so we were first in line to see the site, saving us waiting time. Outstanding Hagia Sophia Guide - Took a guided tour of Hagia Sophia tour with Metin on April 24. Could not have been better. He was early to the meeting point and got us in quickly. Knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Was very patient and fielded all questions. Highly recommended

Enjoyed it! Worth the extra money to skip the line and learn from Metin. - Enjoyed Metin’s tour and explanations. If we did this by ourselves would have just skimmed over some fascinating history. Met some fun fellow travelers too.

Worth it. - Happy accident that we met Metin. It was great having a local tell us about the Mosque. He was engaging and really added a dimension we wouldn't have had without him. I mean sure we could have done it alone and cheaper but this experience made us feel better connected to this extremely important historical living site. Also why not help the local economy and help keep people in jobs. 100% worth it.
