An absolute must for a visit to Istanbul - This was definitely the main highlight of my week in Istanbul. Oguz Arkan brought the history of the city alive and really set the scene as well as giving me a good foundation for exploring other parts of Istanbul. He is clearly very knowledgeable and well-read, his communication skills are excellent and he is very good at tailoring his tours to his audience. He gave us a lot of local tips on where to go and the best places to eat - don't miss the iskender kebab house! He was kind, friendly, very flexible and sensitive to the needs of our small group, mixing serious scholarship with many amusing stories. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Oz and highly recommend him to anyone wishing to learn more about this fascinating city. I can't wait to go back.

Guide difficult to understand - Our tour guide was enthusiastic but difficult to understand. We are native speakers of English and with my job I interact with several people per day with ESL. I’m accustomed to filling in the blanks and yet he was still very difficult to understand
