The medina of Fes is a museum - Although we walked a lot, it wasn't tiring at all and we learned so much from our guide, Khalid. Especially on the history that surrounds the medina and so many interesting stories about the hundreds if not thousands of old traditions and artistry present within the walls of the medina. Our guide was very kind and patient and also takes great pictures.

Excellent day, getting to know Fez was very fascinating - The car and guide was on time, organized and planned out the day ,keeping our interests in mind.He took us to the old walled city, the old souk, ceramic factory which demonstrated the age old art of pottery and beautiful fountains, tabletops and wall plates. The souk took us back to early times with winding narrow streets ,shops selling spices, meats, fish, veggies and fruits in sections as well as leather goods and beautiful etched table lamps and wall pieces which could be lit up.There were older ladies making local breads on a cast iron stove ,which were out of this world. We also saw the city of Fez from the fortress, olive gardens and press to make oil as well as other spices and herbs. We tasted Tajine,a local favorite with meat and veggies and visited the local madras sa and marketplace as well as a Madrassa from inside. It was a very enlightening experience and a peek into medieval times.
