Fes

Jemaa el-Fnaa - DAY 1 :
FES – IFRAN – MIDELT – MERZOUGA DESERT
(8 HOURS DRIVE)
After an early breakfast at your hotel or riad in Fez, your English-speaking driver/guide will pick you up as early as possible, 07:00 AM in winter and 08:00 AM in summer (this will give you enough time to catch the sunset in Erg Chebbi).
Your Fes to Marrakech desert tour will begin by crossing the Saiss plains towards the Cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Ifran and Azrou. You can spot Barbary apes on the roadside and stop for some photos.
Continue to Midelt, where you will stop for lunch. From here, you will continue crossing the Ziz River, driving past thousands of towering palm trees and fortified Kasbahs to Erfoud, then to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, where your camel caravan will be waiting for you to ride your camels like nomads to watch the color-changing sunset over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes.
Ride your camels back to your Sahara desert camp to freshen up before getting ready for your dinner under the stars while being entertained by the local nomads playing their drums.
Overnight at your Sahara desert camp.

Today, the drive will feature one beautiful scene after another, including the stunning oasis of Tinghir, where you will be able to take a walk along the Todgha riverbank, visiting Berber villages and learning about the lifestyle of the local inhabitants before you visit the magnificent Todgha Canyons and have lunch on the spot.
In the afternoon, drive along the Kasbah road to Dades Valley, where you will have the opportunity to visit one of the fortified Kasbahs before you arrive at your boutique guest house.

DAY 3 :
DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – KASBAH AIT BEN HADOU – MARRAKECH
(7 HOURS DRIVE)
After breakfast, drive along the Valley of the Roses to Kalaa Mgouna, where you will have the opportunity to visit one of the Rose water cooperatives and learn how the locals prepare rose-scented perfumes based on distilled rose water.
We continue to Ouarzazate past Skoura oasis, famous for its date palm trees, then to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, where you will have lunch before a visit to the Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has been used as a set for various Hollywood movies, fashion, and commercial shoots. The Kasbah is well preserved and consists of various Kasbahs packed together, appearing as a single unit.
In the afternoon, we begin our descent through the Atlas Mountains past Tizi Ntichka Pass, passing by various Berber villages with houses built of stones and mud. You will immediately notice that life here has not changed for centuries, and most of the locals are shepherds.
We arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, and your driver will take you to your riad or hotel.

Book with confidence! Fantastic private tour. - Amazing experience! Idriss of Jrana Tours was really exceptional, on time, always thinking ahead to provide the best experience possible for us. He is flexible, easygoing, funny, a prudent driver and expert photographer. We had a great time and added additional transportation and tour services to our original itinerary. You can book with confidence! The hotels provided were also great and overall the experience was fantastic. Thanks Idriss!

Tour Fes to Marrakech Tour. - We did a family trip from Fes to Marrakesh and to the desert with the agency Jrana Tours last March. Very well organized, we are very satisfied with the experience. Our tour, was warm and friendly, as well as he explained about history of the places we visited. Our driver Iddris was very patient and good driver. I truly recommend the experience. We are really really happy.

Inconsistent and Unreliable. - I had very mixed experiences on 3 separate tours (2022, 2023 an 2024) because of the manager's unreliability and inconsistency. While some of the hotels and the sight seeings were exactly as described on our schedule and provided a nice experience to my foreign friends, some other hotels agreed upon one of the tours were switched at the last minute to hotels of lesser quality, leaving us no choice but to stay in those hotels. On one to the 2022 tour we wasted over an our waiting for a scheduled guide who never showed up. We ended up hiring and paying for another guide instead. On the first tour the driver who had been very nice and helpful throughout 12 days didn't show up on the last day to take us back from Rabat to Casablanca airport. We could have easily missed our early morning flights if we hadn't had help from the hotel staff where we spent our last night. In addition we were never reimbursed for the taxi fare. I strongly advise against booking any tour with this company after my 3 very disappointing experiences with owner/manager.
