Fabuloso! - This was absolutely Fantastic! Our Guide/Driver Christian was super fun, knowledgeable, always engaging but NOT over bearing. He brought to life the winery and farm tours. The Ugo Bing winery tour was simply the best! I've tired wineries in the US and Australia and never experienced such a personal touch with absolutely the best wine. Lucci at the graven and the tire of San Gimiglino were excellent as well. All in all a fabulous day for our family of 7. Highly recommend this one!

Small group Tuscan tours are the best. - The smaller tours (8 person, 8 hr) tour is the way to go. So much more enjoyable than the huge bus tours that drag on too long (11 hrs). We visited two family run Vineyards where the 8 of us were their only guests. Sampled 10 wines at the first stop with lots of tasty small bites. Between vineyards we explored SanGiamano, a cute Tuscan town on a hill. I can't say enough good things about this tour. It was perfect.

Worth it! - This tour was a perfect way to spend a day right outside of Florence. We were in a small group that totaled 6. Our guide, Christiano was great! We got to see so much of the countryside and it felt like we were the only group at some spots we stopped.

What a spectacular Day! - What a spectacular day! Everything was excellent. Our driver/guide Christian was the best. Funny, knowledgeable, interesting but not over bearing. Everyone in our group agreed we got the best of the best. The first winery was EXCEPTIONAL with a great owner personally explaining his philosophy of wine making and showing us his historic cellar. Then we were treated with absolutely the best wine and snacks I’ve ever had. Then on to San Gimignano for a walk and gelato which was then topped off by a spectacular lunch and more wine at a family run farm and winery. Superb tour! Grazie!

Beautiful full day tour that needs a few tweaks - Our guide, I think his name is Guisado, was extremely friendly and talkative. The drive through the countryside was stunning! We were a small group of 8 for the day. Our first stop was at Michelangelo piazza to check out the views. Then we stopped at our first winery that had pretty good wine. Smaller winery, intimate, we got a nice tour of the owners underground cave and barrel storage. They serve some snacks with your tastings so you don’t have to drink wine on an empty stomach. The 2nd winery had patio seating with beautiful views of the countryside but they seated us inside due to the chance of rain. I was really disappointed we couldn’t sit outside because that was the main reason I booked the tour. The second winery was a lot of tastings and it was not good wine. The lunch they served was 3 courses. Cheese, meats and crackers for the 1st course, pasta with rabbit meat for the 2nd course and 1 biscotti cookie each for desert. I thought they were a bit cheap with the servings considering how much we paid for our visit. My wife could not eat her pasta due to the rabbit meat. Make sure you let them know you don’t want to eat random animal meat ahead of time! I really wish we spent less time at the 2nd winery so that we could have enjoyed more time in San Gimignano. The stop in San Gimignano needs to be longer. It says 1 hour but that includes parking and him talking to you for another 20 minutes showing you around. By the time he was done with his explanations we only had 20 minutes to explore and walk around. It really was not enough time. The gelato place he took us to in San Gimignano was to die for! This was the best gelato I had anywhere in Italy. It lives up to the reputation of being the best gelato in the world. Overall I enjoyed my full day tour. Mainly cuz of the guide and the beautiful views of Tuscany. I think they need to find a different winery for the 2nd stop- or reduce the time there. Otherwise, great tour!

Keep Looking - If you imagine that the tour operators are providing a carefully curated tour of wineries, imagine again. The meeting point was a sea of people who were assigned to vans on the fly depending on the number in your party and those of other parties. If anyone was in charge of the madness they kept it to themself. Apparently they have a bunch of wineries that they deal with and what you get is the luck of the draw. Our driver missed turns twice despite a GPS map. The van itself rode like a buckboard. Those of us in the back couldn't hear anything that the driver said which is probably OK as he didn't seem to know much about anything. The first winery was magnificent and the winery host Andrea was a font of knowledge and local lore. We use these tours to discover new wineries and to restock our collection. I shipped 18 bottles home from this winery. Lunch was at the second winery and was served at around 15.00. The lunch itself was pedestrian at best. The winery staff made no attempt to explain anything about their wines ... which was OK as there really wasn't much good to say about them except that they were cheap. Speaking for myself, I didn't book a Chianti wine tour to sample wines one might find at the local Olive Garden restaurant. My wife and I spend a month in Italy each spring. We have been on countless wine tours, many of them outstanding. This one was, without a doubt, the single worst we have ever had. Keep looking.
