Easy pace but covered... - Easy pace but covered lots of interest. Marathon caused some tricky road crosses but not too much of a hassle. Learned history (both general and a few less known parts) and got orientation to the Downtown to wander later. Early start was refreshing and avoided bigger crowds later in day. The gelato stop a pleasant and timely moment.

Highly recommend this tour to start your Florence visit! - Wondeful walking tour of Florence with Yulia. Highly recommend for your first or second morning of Florence, as it will add greatly to your appreciation of the streets you'll be wslking back and forth on for your stay and the remarkable history and context you might otherwise miss. Yulia was a fantastic guide and perfect tour leader. We would highly recommend. Florence is such a bustling city of tourists, lights and sound that having a tour of the downtown and history adds remarkably to the vacation, much like having a museum tour. We are so happy to have done this tour to start off our stay in Florence.

Great tour with Federica - Really enjoyed Federica’s tour. She was very engaging and knowledgeable. Our only regret was doing the tour later in our stay. If we had done it upfront, it would have given us a bunch of great ideas of what to tour for the rest of our stay. Thank you Federica!

Do this tour your first full day if possible in Florence. - Our guide was great. We were all wired up with headphones and we could hear her clearly. She spoke excellent English. She gave a wonderful tour of the main sights of Florence as well as background and historical information along the way. Well worth the time and money.

A tour with an extraordinary storyteller! - This was one of the best walking tours I’ve done in the 14 months that I’ve been traveling. Giovanna is an extraordinary storyteller. The walk through the city was beautiful and fun. Highly recommend this tour.

Great Tour: Florence Walk and Talk - on the Medici's Footsteps - I had decided that a walking tour of Florence would be a great way to be introduced to the city and I chose the tour offered by Florencetown called "Florence Walk and Talk- on the Medici's Footsteps. Frederica was my guide and was both very personable and knowledgeable. Every time I asked her a question about anything that I saw as I walked, she could answer it in detail. At the same time, she was able to give me suggestions about eating and general information about staying in Florence. And being treated to gelato was like icing on the cake. I couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. Thank you, Frederica!

Okay , but could have been so much more detail - Whilst the guide showed she could have bought een good, the level of detail was suitable for those who know little about history or Italy.we booked this as a Medici tour - asking who knows “what the capital of Italy “indicates the level expected. I don’t blame the guide - I think she know much more .I would have loved a better view of the Medicis. The guide is to be commended for the route she chose which left out some of the most over touristed areas of the city .
