Dominating one side of the square are the Uffizi, formerly the offices of the Grand Dukes of the city, and the former seat of the government of Florence. On the other side of the square is the Palazzo Vecchio.

Ponte Vecchio - The, the walking tour takes you through the âPorcellinoâ (little pig) market and on to the oldest bridge in Florence, the Ponte Vecchio, which dates back to the 1300s.
