We Were More Impressed Than We Expected - Excellent tour. Exactly what we wanted. Didn’t expect much but to see the famous statue however it was a great, informative tour of the museum as well!

Great and easy tour! - Geat tour of the museum with an amazing guide. Explnations of each of the pieces of art were well detailed and the tour wasn't dragged out more than it needed to be.

Great tour but does not include ticket price (they have tickets.) - We really enjoyed the tour and even our kids (9 and 11) paid attention and learned a lot. We worried that it might be too academic for them, but it was interesting, entertaining, and short enough (~50 minutes) to hold their interest. One important note: it does not include purchase price and for 2 adults and 2 children we had to pay another 48€ (20€ for adults and 4€ each for children -- they add on 4€ per ticket for handling fees) at the meeting point. This was either not mentioned on the TripAdvisor page or we missed it, but luckily we noticed it in the confirmation email as you must use cash. I don't know whether you can buy your own tickets and avoid the 4€ per ticket surcharge. Anyway, the tour was great and made up for the annoyance about the extra charges. (Especially because all the tickets were sold out so we wouldn't have got in without the tour.)

Excellent tour - Excellent tour. Be aware that this is not the price of the ticket. The ticket is an extra 20 Euros. Our tour guide was fantastic and it was easy to find the group outside of the museum.

Better than waiting in line - Well informed guide. There’s nothing that makes clear that you need cash to pay for tickets, and that minors need an identification to get reduced price ticket. A teenager will need to produce some form of picture ID to prove age! No time to run back to a hotel!!

Great tour guide, beware that cost is minus tickets - Read the fine print cost does not include tickets which are purchased with euros at a side entrance from the tour guide team. Tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable.

We waited anyway. - Bottom line, we had to wait. Once we purchase our tickets online through Tripadvisor, we had to pay the Elvis group another $20 cash in order to get our tickets. We waited in line for over 45 minutes. I do have to say, the docent was phenomenal and very knowledgeable about everything in the museum and MichaelAngelo. It was worth it it to see such historical items, but we felt a bit duped as well. Get there early to find the flags marking the different tour groups in the square.
