Take advantage of your skip-the-line ticket to avoid the long lines and step into the royal residence, formerly inhabited by the influential Medici grand-dukes. Learn about the Medici family’s history and marvel at the spectacular Renaissance painting collection, displayed in rooms adorned with elaborate frescoes and stucco. Wonderful tour, - This was an absolutely fabulous tour!!! Our tour leader, Camilla, was fantastic. She clearly has a wealth of knowledge - what set her above was her warmth and ability to communicate historical information in a clear, concise and engaging manner - she has a delightful sense of humor and was able to put everything in context for us. All of us thought she was great!!

Outstanding and Not to be Missed - Our tour guide is also a fresco restoration specialist and extremely adept at telling the backstory and technical aspects of what we are viewing. I could listen to, and learn from her for days on end!

A great experience at Pitti Palace - Our guide was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and she had a great personality. She not only gave us information she gave us the back stories behind the paintings and sculptures.

Book the garden tour as well - Great experience and the palace was not crowded at all. I do regret not booking the additional gardens tour with this, but the art and building history is gorgeous and fascinating.

Worth the trip across the river - Nice tour with so much art! Lots of paintings, and some furniture from the Medici palace. Good history from our guide as well. Good headsets so we could hear our guide and keep up with the info she shared.

Not about Medici history - I only give it 4 stars because the title is a bit misleading. We were wanting to learn more about the Medici family and this is not the tour for that. It is fully focus on the art that the Medici family owned and explanation on the pieces. The tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the subject, it made it enjoyable.

Pitti Palace morning tour - Great tour. Meeting point was well described and tour company was waiting there on time. We received a pleasant surprise that due to not so nice weather, the tickets had been expanded to include the gardens and the tour would be increased by an hour (at no cost) to allow the gardens to be visited. Agree with other comments that this is very much an art tour and guide was very knowledgable on many individual artworks. Having seen the gardens would strongly recomend booking a tour with both palace and gardens as the gardens and the views were amazing.

Go for the art, not to learn about the Medici family - This tour was good but not my favorite tour in Florence. If you are going just for the art you will love it. If you want more insight into the Medici family and see how they lived, you will be disappointed. None of the rooms had any of the original furnishings, just art work.
