- Borgo Storico di Manarola - The journey from Florence lasts approximately 2 hours, the first visit will be at Manarola, a magnificent village, UNESCO heritage site, part of the beautiful coastal villages of the Cinque Terre. You will have time to walk the narrow streets, admire the views and enjoy coastal village life, and have a beautiful breakfast in the meantime that the town gets crowded, maybe some souvenir too. Then continue to Riomaggiore with the ferry that connects the coastal villages. (Operation varies depending on weather)
- Vernazza - Vernazza, built around the small fishing harbor, bears witness to medieval history with the Doria Castle on top of the rock overlooking the small port, and the church of s. Margherita D’Antiochia next to the main square. If you want to take a bath in the Tyrrenium waters around the natural harbor, don’t miss the opportunity. Time to explore the village and taste a typical Ligurian food, and maybe a memorable souvenir (lunch not included) and your journey continues

Borgo Storico di Riomaggiore - After visiting Manarola, we continue with the second village Riomaggiore. Built on the cliff face, with the castle that dominates the coast from the strategic position, and the church of S. Giovanni dating XIII century as a memory of its medieval history and its houses with colorful facades make it unique. Don’t miss a swim in the small pebble stone beach of Rio, it’s beautiful.
Time to explore then we continue by train towards Vernazza. - Piazza dei Miracoli - In the afternoon, from Vernazza, after 10 minutes by train to Manarola then an hour and a half of driving towards Pisa, you will arrive at the famous Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 where you can admire the beauty of the Pisan Romanesque architecture as a whole of the monumental complex, will be able to visit the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Camposanto together with the famous Leaning Tower. (tickets to enter the cathedral and the Tower are not included) And after this visit full with memories and discoveries, we will continue driving towards Florence at the end of our journey.

Depart from Florence in a comfortable van with a very small group of up to 8 people and a tour leader for a memorable day. After 2 hours driving the first stop is Manarola, one of the jewels of the Cinque Terre, where you can admire the picturesque houses and take breathtaking photos. Time to explore, before to move with the ferry line that connects the villages to visit Vernazza, walking through the charming streets of the city, and discover the history. After this experience, just 15 min away by train, the next stop is Riomaggiore, where you can taste local delicacies, visit the defensive tower, discover the village life and have a swim. Then, after 10 min of train and 1,5 h driving, the tour will take you to the famous Piazza dei Miracoli to see the majestic Tower of Pisa and the other monuments at this UNESCO site. After this exciting day, set off driving towards Florence. The itinerary is organized to be the easiest considering all the walking difficulties of the villages.
- Comfort shoes necessary
- Boats do not operate in bad weather conditions and when the sea is rough. On these occasions transfers between towns is done by local coastal train
- Guests can take a swim in one of the villages, we suggest to take a swim suit with you
- The tour leader depending on the conditions on the terrain can change the order of visit of the villages, you still have to visit the same villages as mentioned on the description.
- There is a minimum number of participants for the tour to get started. Les than 4 guests the tour does not depart. You will be offer to amend the date or a full refund.
- Because the natural formation of the coastal towns, all the health restrictions communicated are considering that; during the itinerary there are some steps about 30/40 during some moments that require that guests can make them without health related issues.

Excellent tour! - This tour with Emilio was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed his friendliness and personable approach. The itinerary is well thought out, with experiences on land and sea, and ample time to explore the villages and Pisa. Emilio goes above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and stay in communication before and during the tour. I would gladly do this tour again and highly recommend this as a must-do during a trip to Florence!

Day trip away from Florence is WORTH IT! Especially with Emilio! - Emilio was an amazing tour guide. We brought our two young children on the tour (ages 4 and 7) and we didn’t know how they would be on the day long trip. But the trip was a perfect blend of just the right amount of guiding from Emilio (with history lessons and insights into the various areas of Cinque Terre), and the freedom to discover on our own, in our own pace that made the trip manageable with 2 kids (withOUT a stroller!). The kids LOVED dipping their toes in the water on the pebble beach in RioMaggiore (a tip from Emilio). Added bonus was that Emilio (having young children himself) was gracious enough to watch our kids while my husband and I took some photos at a picturesque point in Manarola. And second bonus was when he also graciously watched our kids as they slept in the van while we grabbed photos in Pisa. The kids were pooped from all the fun; the parents were so thankful of the time to spend with the kids and even small moments away too! All thanks to Emilio! Would recommend this tour again and again! Emilio has a calming presence and is clearly very good at what he does! This is your sign to book this tour!

Amazing experience! - My sister and I went on this trip and had a wonderful time! Our tour guide emilio took us to each of the cities and allowed us to spend an ample amount of time in each location and see the beautiful views. We also got to go on the ferry as the weather was wonderful the day we went. This day trip was the best money well spent- going to the enchanting areas of cinque terre and ending our day in pisa- a great ending to our trip in italy. Would 100% recommend to anyone interested in this tour!

Excellent day trip to Cinque Terra and Pisa - We loved the small group and the tour guide was great. You got plenty of time at 3 out of the 5 villages and also at PIsa but that did make for a very long day (13 hours).

Perfect 5 days in Florence and surrounding towns - We had 3 amazing day trips with Emilio as our travel guide and honestly he made our experience very memorable as he pointed out attractions, history and all the need to know info.
Day 1 was to Cinque Terre with a stop on the way back to Florence at Pisa for some pics and a bit more history.
Day 2 was to Sienna, San Giamannio and lunch at a beautiful winery in Tuscany.
Day 3 the boys took a drive to Ferrari and Ducati
