Your exploration into the highlights of Tuscany starts with a visit to Pisa. Here, we’ll pay a visit to Piazza Miracoli, a square dominated by the iconic Cathedral, the Baptistery, and of course, the Leaning Tower. We’ll then take a scenic drive through the countryside to reach San Gimignano. A sumptuous Tuscan lunch awaits here, featuring a tasting of four distinct wines, all served in a unique restaurant nestled along the well-known ‘Via Francigena’. Post lunch, we delve further into Tuscan history to discover the enchanting medieval village of San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its preserved ancient town planning. Our final stop is the captivating city of Siena. A local guide will take you through a detailed walking tour of its narrow medieval streets and squares, including a brief stop at the world’s oldest bank ‘Monte dei Paschi’. We’ll also visit the spectacular Piazza del Campo, the setting for the renowned ‘Palio’ horse race which takes place twice a year, and conclude with the awe-inspiring Cathedral. Please note that the sequence of visits may vary.

Fantastic sights - worth it! - We saw so much in 1 day and every stop was amazing. Be prepared to do lots of walking, but it’s worth it. Beautiful sights and the lunch was wonderful. Our guide was great! Highly recommend this tour!

A full day out - Long day but good amount of time in each location. Over 12hrs start to finish, but lovely lunch and good wines, good guide and driver.

Adorable towns - All the towns were wonderful. We bought the package with lunch and a tour of Siena- you could do without it. Make sure you immediately get your ticket to the top of the leaning tower of Pisa. Otherwise, it gets extremely busy, and you won’t have time to go to the top.

Could be better - Very fast pace. Not suitable for children or elderly. The lunch was subpar at best. 90 people is too many for any tour but especially one with this pace.

So disappointed... - The trip was delayed to begin with - by about 45 mins - due to coach issues and poor admin processes. This meant we spent the day being told that our time at each location was going to be cut short and/or practically RUNNING up hills and along streets which, in the heat of Tuscany, was not a pleasant experience.
When we got to the Cathedral tour in Siena the external tour guide the team had hired in to lead us, turned up late (the irony) and proceeded to almost run us round the city and cathedral too, before promptly dumping us and running at the tour end time... and not a second later.
The speaker on the coach wasn't working, which meant that the back half of the coach had no idea about what info was being shared about the locations or their history etc. and when this was mentioned to the tour guide, she did little to nothing to rectify it.
The driver of the coach also did not care that those in the back almost hit the roof at the speed in which he turned corners and went over speed bumps - it was quite an unpleasant journey.
It turns out that the initial coach they had planned to take us all in - a double decker coach for around SIXTY or so of us (it was a packed trip!) broke down, so they had to put on 3 separate coaches instead. This also meant that our tour guide had to lead our group, or her own, for the first time (and this was unfortunately obvious).
For the money we paid, and for the GORGEOUS locations we were visiting, the trip was extremely disappointing overall, and I would not recommend to anyone.

Candid review of a dishonest service - To any US or EU traveler, I could not recommend an experience less. Although not stated, you are not allowed to eat, use the bathroom, or speak out loud on board the “modern bus” provided by the tour company for the 12-hour duration. Ironically, this bus was among the filthiest I have ever stepped foot on. There were literally roaches sprawling against the front walls I was fortunate enough to sit next to. Our experience was so horrid that we ultimately paid an exorbitant price to a private driver to take all five of us back to Florence from the first stop in Pisa. Words cannot describe our frustration.
