- Morris Island Lighthouse - Join us on this two-hour private boat tour as we navigate the serene waters behind Folly Beach in search of local bottlenose dolphins. As we glide through the creeks and inlets, you’ll have the chance to witness these magnificent creatures play, sleep, and hunt. If the dolphins are feeding, you might observe a unique hunting technique known as “strand feeding,” exclusive to this region. Along the journey, you’ll also have the opportunity to spot other local wildlife, including wading birds, bald eagles, osprey, pelicans, or perhaps a sea turtle.
The two hours are dedicated to the time spent on the water.

Engage in a private two-hour boat journey exploring the serene waters off Folly Beach, with a focus on spotting the region’s resident bottlenose dolphins. As we navigate the bays and estuaries, you’ll get the chance to witness these majestic creatures playing, resting, and hunting. Should they be on the feed, you may even get to witness the unique hunting method known as ‘strand feeding,’ which is exclusive to this region. Along our journey, there’s also the possibility of encountering other native fauna, including shore birds, bald eagles, ospreys, pelicans, and perhaps even a sea turtle. The cruise price accommodates up to six individuals!
- Passengers must be able to down 24 inches to enter/exit the vessel.

As you come over the bridge onto Folly Beach, the parking lot will be immediately on your right at the end of the bridge and just before "Hotel Folly." Make sure to park in a short spot and make your way to the ramps. Look for the boat with the blue T-top and says "Blue Moon" on the side.

Dolphin Tour - Absolutely fabulous experience! Highly recommend. Captain P.D. was the best and great with our five year old and fifteen year old. We saw plenty of dolphins!

Cruising the Estuary is a Special Experience. - The pods of Tamenend's Bottlenose Dolphins were thrilling. Just cruising the estuary was fascinating. An environment like no other. Lots of bird activity. Extensive oyster beds. Paul, the boat owner and Captain, is knowledgeable and provides just the right amount of information and interaction. A great experience.

Brilliant boat trip - highly recommended - Our tour with Morris Island Charters was one of the highlights of our trip to the Lowcountry. We saw dolphins, explored the waterways, visited Morris Island, found shark teeth - it was a truly memorable experience and made so fun for my kids as it was totally adapted to them. I would recommend to anyone visiting Folly Beach or the nearby area - the booking process was so easy, PD is a fantastic captain - both knowledgable and kind, and it was a great trip.

Captain PD made the most of a blustery, cold day on the water! - Captain PD went above and beyond; he reached out to us to let us know about a road race which may impact our travel time and route to the landing. He also loaned me essential weather gear which I was missing on our very windy snd chilly day. We saw several dolphin and learned a bit about them.

Great experience for family w teens! - Highly recommend! We did the dolphin tour w two teen daughters and all had a great time. Saw plenty of dolphins, enjoyed boating through the windy creeks, learned a great deal about the local ecosystem, and - something that thrilled our girls - happened upon locales depicted in the tv show Outer Banks. The Captain is extremely knowledgeable, safe, and experienced.

Excellent Dolphin Experience - Very enjoyable experience. We will do it again on our next travels. Would recommend to anyone . Saw many dolphins and our tour guy was very knowledgeable with our surroundings.

Mountain people come to the sea - We loved seeing mother and baby dolphins arc from the water at the same time, as though they were one animal. Our Captain, PD, was skilled in finding all the dolphins that could possibly have been in the area. We also froze to death, but that is the sea's fault.

Great Time!! - What a wonderful tour! Captain PD knew right where to take us to see multiple dolphins!!! We also had some fun going a little faster at times! He answered all of our questions and we learned new info on these awesome mammals!! Highly recommend
