Wonderful views and cute villages - Great views along the ride, JF was a very nice, knowledgeable guide and showed us great views and photo opportunities. We saw cute villages and went for a swim in the turquoise lake. Be aware that these are very windy roads, and the gorges du verdon are at least 2.5 hrs away from Nice.

Great time with a great guide! - Had a great day visiting the Verdin Gorge from multiple viewpoints and entertaining commentary from our guide Bruno! He asked our preferences and planned our day accordingly. Even though the lavender fields were not in full bloom, he still stopped for us to look around and made a second stop at the red poppy fields. He really made our trip memorable! Will definitely recommend.

Fun Sightseeing Tour - This was a great tour! A lot of time is spent riding in the van but we got to see areas of France we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Our tour guide, Nikolai, was great and made the trip more fun and informative!

Gorgeous and beautiful scenery of the Verdon Valley - The mountain roads are difficult and time-consuming to drive alone, but I went on a car tour comfortably. In addition, we meet good people and talk about various aspects of life... All in all, it was nice that the guide drove safely, gave kind explanations, and took great photos. It was nice to have great photos of the Verdon Valley as memories.

This Tour Was Everything!! - Simply Ahhhh-mazing, EPIC!!!! This tour was everything that I had hoped and wished for a tour to be!! Quite honestly, this is THEE best tour I have ever been on. We saw the enchanting Cascade de Sillans waterfalls, visited charming villages, went to the top of the mountains and saw the gorges from the top of the cliffs to the bottom, drove through farms and saw beautiful horses, sheep, goats and buffalos, enjoyed a delicious lunch and pastries at the villages and then Nikola had a fun surprise for our group at the end of the tour. I truly loved this tour so much and would totally join this tour again with Nikola! His sense of humor and love of humor really made the tour that much more special. Thank you Nikola!!!!! If you love nature, enjoy hiking and animals this tour is for you! Being comfortable walking and/or hiking shoes and you'll be all set! Some hiking poles may be helpful too. There is some walking down to the gorge and back up but trust me, it is sooo worth it!

Breathtaking Views - I have done a lot of tours and this one was by far my favorite. Nikola was an amazing guide ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the views were amazing and Nikola took us to great spots to get photos. We also got up close to beautiful waterfalls, rivers and the lake! It was amazing. I recommend bringing some cash so you can rent a paddle boat to take on the lake. I will definitely do this one again and highly recommended it!

Beautiful views - Nikola was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and intuitive. The veron river was my favourite part, and the paddle boats at the lake! The tour ran a little longer than expected which did shift my evening plans, but all worked out. So nice to get out of the busy tourist areas for a day!

Wonderful scenery, great guide, too much driving, too rushed - The bright spot of this tour (by far) was our driver, Gouda. (Probably not spelling it right, but he said to pronounce it like the cheese.) Gouda was kind, efficient, and a great driver. By the end of the day, he knew our 3 kids’ names. He was compassionate and helpful early on when our daughter thought she might be carsick. Didn’t talk too much, but did have interesting notes on a few places. The actual tour… meh. Hours and hours of driving, interspersed with mad 5-minute dashes to grab a photo at a scenic spot, or 30-minute turnarounds at the scenic villages (not nearly enough). The most time we had at any stop was an hour at the lake. After waiting in line for the electric boats, we had 33 minutes before we had to be back at the tour van. I will say, the scenery was stunning and the villages charming. If I were in the area, I would definitely explore all these… on my own time. Not as part of a rushed tour itinerary. Bottom line - save yourself a few hundred dollars, just buy Gouda lunch and spend time chatting up this wonderful man for an hour. :)

Unprofessional guide - I am from the US and I traveled with a European friend. The sights were beautiful. We loved the lake, the town, the lavender fields and the scenery. A few things I wish I had known prior to booking. LOTS of windy roads. Sitting in the back of the van will test anyone’s car sickness. I usually do not have a problem but both my friend and I were nauseous the entire time until moving to the front. I didn’t realize HOW MUCH of the trip would be spent driving. Really the trip could have been shorter and more time spent at the lake, the town by cutting off the first portion of the trip. WAY too much driving and too little time at the sights. Our biggest issue was our tour guide, Mike. He was very unprofessional at a few times during the trip. Commenting that he is usually not in a good mood on Mondays (this was a Monday), but that he would stop at the fields this trip anyway. Also, no water was provided. We were gone for over 10 hours with only one real place to grab food and water. Also limited bathrooms. In the ride home, my friend had to use the restroom very badly. She asked him multiple times to stop at a restaurant, hotel etc ( we passed several and pointed them out) but he kept saying he would drive fast to get home. We were still 1.5 hours away. That is too long to wait. After multiple attempts to say, “what about here” we finally became angry and said “she can pee in the bushes here.this is urgent and has now become a medical condition”. He truly was angry and did not care. He did stop, she peed on the side of the road and it was better. But, I have never seen behavior like this from a professional. He kept saying, “I cannot magically make a bathroom appear”. We understand there are limited facilities but minimally to be empathetic, not pass multiple places to even TRY to find a place or offer to pull over is unacceptable. I have been on multiple tours, rarely complain, but. This was unlike anything I have seen. Please do NOT use Mike from Romania with your tour.

An expensive bus ride to Moustiers St Marie and back - Our driver Bruno provided no commentary or information throughout the trip with the only sound music and occasional talking amongst passengers. Stuck 3 in the back visibility was limited through small side windows and near impossible for middle passenger. Shortly after leaving Nice driver stopped for fuel. An hour later a stop by a waterfall. An hour later stopped at a town for 40 minutes- I assume Castellane - driver did not say. I think we passed some scenery which front passengers and those on left could see. Maybe a town as drivers only words was “it’s all from 12th century”? Passed lookout points but driver said we could stop at his favourite. Finally photo stop over lake. 12.20 arrived at next town- sign said Moustiers. Quaint and pretty. There for 2 hours. On return stopped for 3rd and final photo stop on bridge. Driver said if we wanted a coffee to shout and he would stop at rest area on highway. Back in Nice at 4.45. My last 3 reviews on Viator were 5 stars but this tour was an expensive waste of time. I’m sure scenery was good if you could see it! Find another way to visit Verdon Gorges or do another activity. No mention of any lavender so don’t do tour for that! Some passengers slept most of the day.
