Sambuca wine tour - Located in the mountainous area of Sambuca beautiful views Nicola our wine sommelier was very hospitable and his knowledge of Vineyard and its history, with outstanding, very nice young man. The organic wine was outstanding. They even shipped us our wine back to St Croix in the US Virgin Islands. Thank you so much for a wonderful tour. Don’t hesitate to book this to wine tour.

Excellent in every aspect - highly recommendable - Out back, up in the hills between Sambuca di Sicilia and Giuliana, is the finest organic winery where we experienced the best wine tasting ever. From the moment we were greeted by the English-speaking lady of the place, who was our guide, to leaving the farm a lot of good experiences richer. She started by offering us coffee, after which we were introduced to the vineyard closest to the winery. Here we were given a very detailed overview of the grapes and wines and were allowed to taste the grapes. Next, we went to the outdoor press where the hand-picked grapes are separated from stems and leaves and piped into the production facility. We have never seen such a beautiful and professional facility and were given a detailed description and even tasted the raw must. We went to the cellar and looked at the storage etc. and afterwards we were welcomed into the beautiful tasting room, where the table was already set for us. To accompany the exquisite and well-described 5 wines, we were served a very nice and rich selection of local specialities - hot and cold, bread, sausage, vegetables, cheese and their own olives and oil. All in all, a highly recommendable experience. We thank Di Giovanna for a memorable time at the winery

Experience not to be missed - Amazing experience with amazing scenery! Nicola was so amazing, he taught us so much. His knowledge of wine and the vineyards was amazing. The wine was the best we’ve tried in Sicily. We recommend trying the 5 wines( especially the orange wine) 10/10 experience.

Winetasting - Great views and a good tasting experience. We tried 5 different wines together with some meats, cheeses and snacks. Nice newbuilt space for the tasting.

Gorgeous tasting room!!! - This is a beautiful property with a brand new tasting room with amazing views over the hills in Sicily. We are lucky enough to spend quite some time in Sambuca and we can’t say enough good things about Gunther, Klaus, Melissa and the whole DiGiovanna family and operation. Please visit when you’re in Sicily, you won’t regret it! :)

Preserve Up the Hill, It Will Be Worth It - The road up to the winery is not great, so it is slow going, but preserve, it is worth it. To begin the view is amazing. The tour, through the vineyards and the cellar, provides the history and philosophy of the winery. I have done many similar tours and this is a good one. We then did the tasting of five wines with many little bits of great food, cheeses, meat, bruschettas, etc. More than enough for lunch. The wines are all quite good. We bought some to drink on the rest of our trip and had some bottles shipped back to the US. Definitely get a reservation. This is a highly recommended stop.

My memorable visit to Di Giovanna - I wanted to visit Di Giovanna as they produce wines and olive oils in my family name. I am not sure if there is a direct family relation, but it was fun to explore. The Di Giovanna’s were welcoming and gracious. I was shown photos of where the grapes and olives are grown, and they gave me some history of their origins. The wine tasting was elegant and they helped me ship wines and olive oils home. My shipment arrived the day after I got home from Sicily so my home is well stocked with many delicious wines from Di Giovanna to share with family and friends. My visit there was a highlight of my Sicily adventure.

Di Giovanna Winery…a beautiful experience, passionate owners and delicious wine! - What an amazing experience! My husband and I love this place, not just for the atmosphere, the wine, the staff, but for the love and passion the owners have worked so hard for to make this a memorable vacation.

Unprofessional staff and mediocre wine - After our experience, we must say we were quite surprised by all the positive reviews of this winery. My partner was very excited when he found the winery on google maps, but we ultimately left the experience very disappointed. The man who led the tour and tasting (I believe the manager) was very rude to us. He gave us a short tour and told us nothing about the history of the winery and very little about the wines produced. Even during the tasting when we asked about the wine he would not answer us. It was bizarre like he was turning his ears off when we spoke. He was very eager though to talk to the other couple, giving them a lengthy tasting. At one point he even sat at the table with them and poured himself a glass of wine to drink with them, completely ignoring us. While we paid to do a five wine tasting he treated us as if we were unworthy of his time. Since we did not get to try the wine we requested to try, my partner decided to buy a bottle to take home. While I thought it was generous enough for him to buy wine given how the staff treated us, he still seemed to scoff at us for not buying enough. For the amount of money the experience costs, I would recommend touring a more inclusive winery.
