Highlights

Luxor East Bank Including Luxor Museum

Hurghada - You will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada and then travel to Luxor.

Temple of Karnak - Upon arrival in Luxor, you will visit the largest temple ever built, Karnak Temple, which was constructed over 2,000 years and covers an area of about 63 acres. Enjoy taking photos among its massive pillars and obelisks.

Luxor Museum - Next, you will be transferred to Luxor Museum, which was inaugurated in 1975. This two-story building houses grave goods from the tomb of the 18th dynasty pharaoh Tutankhamun (KV 62) and a collection of 26 New Kingdom statues found buried in the Luxor statue cache near Luxor Temple in 1989. The mummies of two pharaohs, Ahmose and Ramses I, are also on display.

Luxor Temple - You will then visit Luxor Temple on the East Bank of Luxor, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are exhibited.

Luxor West Bank and Drive Back to Hurghada

Valley of the Kings - After breakfast and checking out, start your unforgettable day by visiting the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank, where New Kingdom pharaohs carved their tombs into the mountains to hide their treasures and protect their mummies.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Next, visit the mortuary temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari and discover her beautiful temple and intriguing story with her nephew.

Tombs of the Nobles - Luxor - Then, move to the Valley of the Nobles, which contains the tombs of nobles like Ramose, Senniffer, Menna, and over 400 other Theban nobles. These tombs, marked by numbers, feature beautifully carved scenes. Nestled in the foothills opposite the Ramesseum, there are more than 400 tombs.

Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II) - Proceed to the Ramesseum Temple, the memorial temple of Pharaoh Ramses II. Located in the Theban Necropolis in Upper Egypt on the west bank of the Nile, across from modern Luxor, the design of Ramesses’s mortuary temple follows the standard canons of New Kingdom temple architecture.

Valley of the Queens - Next, visit the Valley of the Queens, where the wives and sons of pharaohs were buried. Known in ancient times as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning ‘the place of beauty,’ there are more than 90 known tombs, usually consisting of an entrance passage, a few short halls, and a sarcophagus chamber. You will visit three tombs of queens and their sons, such as the tombs of Amun-Khepshef, Khaem-Waset, and Queen Tyti, wife of King Ramses III. The most notable tombs are those of Nefertari, the favorite queen of Ramses II.

Habiba Hand Weaving - Then, move to Habiba for hand weaving, specializing in hand-woven scarves made of Egyptian cotton, linen, and wool. Local hand weavers also sell machine-made scarves and shawls in cotton and cotton blends. Located in a rural setting on the west bank of Luxor with views of the nobles’ tombs, women still work and make handmade cloth from pure cotton, giving you the experience of how they use hand-made machines.

Howard Carter House - Next, visit the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. Surrounded by a garden on a barren slope above the road from Deir Al Bahari to the Valley of the Kings, the house has been restored and decorated with pictures and tools from the excavations. An exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber has been constructed on the edge of the garden, along with an exhibition related to the discovery of the tomb.

Colossi of Memnon - End your tour on the West Bank with a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon.

Hurghada - At the end of the tour, you will drive back to Hurghada.
