The Bridge of Peace - elatively newly constructed the Bridge of Peace is definitely the attraction one wouldn’t want to miss in Tbilisi. It is a pedestrian glass and steel bridge in a bow-shaped design that sits over the Mtkvari (Kura) river in Georgian capital. It was officially opened in May 2010. The bridge was brought to Georgia from Italy in 200 unassembled components.

Rike Park - Rike park is considered to be the youngest recreational area in Tbilisi. It is situated on the left bank of the river Kura (Mtkvari) and already has become a popular place for both local and international visitors, especially families, and in summer. The Rike park is quite easy to find, as its main entrance is right from the beautiful pedestrian ‘Bridge of Peace’

Kartlis Deda - Kartvlis Deda (Mother of a Georgian) erroneously known as Kartlis Deda is a monument in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi, which has become a symbol of the city. The statue was erected on the top of Sololaki hill in 1958, the year Tbilisi celebrated its 1500th anniversary. Prominent Georgian sculptor Elguja Amashukeli designed the twenty-meter aluminium figure of a woman in Georgian national dress. She symbolizes the Georgian national character: in her left hand she holds a bowl of wine to greet those who come as friends, and in her right hand is a sword for those who come as enemies.

The Old Town is part of the Tbilisi Historic District and contains a number of officially designated monuments, churches, cobbled streets and picturesque pastel colored wooden houses with open, carved balconies. Flea Market Dry Bridge - This extraordinary flea market will keep you entertained for hours. There is a mesmerising assortment of antiques, jewellery and bric-a-brac on sale.

In the tough days of Perestroika and the early years of independence, the Dry Bridge is where hard-up citizens of Tbilisi would come to sell their possessions in order to make a little cash. For some people that is still the case today, though for others this is their main business. Everything is laid out on the ground, often carefully arranged on on sheets of material, other times it is a haphazard collection.

One person might be trying to sell you twenty-year-old batteries or an old toothbrush, while their neighbour will be touting antique amber and silver jewellery. If you want to buy anything remember to haggle. Prices may be inflated, especially for tourists.

A true sample of excellent tour guide! - Without a doubt one of our favourite and memorable family vacation. Upon arrival in Tbilisi Airport, we were warmly welcomed by Io or Yo as I thought, holding a board with my name, me, my husband with 20 months baby girl felt welcomed and with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! Yo as a guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had 8 great days in Georgia, which obviously also added up to the experience. Yo is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). One I truly enjoyed was us walking through Shekvetili Dendrological Park, about an hour drive from Batumi. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet, peaceful and lush green environment. Yo speaks excellent English! 👌🏼We learnt from him a lot about Georgian history, art, culture and much more, as well as providing tips on other things to see and places to eat in Georgia. Having to travel by car constantly moving beween cities of Tbilisi, Batumi and Stepantsminda was definitely tiring but we enjoyed every bit all respect for Yo who does a great job there. His patience and effort is truly commendable; a true sample of excellent tour guide! Our flight back to Dubai was at 11pm in the evening and Yo and his girlfried Tamuna were very kind to invite us over to their family house for lunch. We rested there for a few hours before they drove us to the airport. The house was on a hilltop and had such a breath-taking panoramic view of Tbilisi, definitely a great and unforgettable way to end our stay in Georgia. Many thanks again and I recommend Yo of Family in Georgia Travels & Tours to everyone most specially for families with kids! You will be on the safe hands 💯 % you won't be disappointed! We promised to go back and bring the rest of our family with us ❤
