A very worthwhile day - Claude was a wonderful guide who explained clearly the events that took place around the area in WW1 with a focus on the soldiers from Australia and New Zealand. Visiting the frontlines and cemeteries was very moving and a visit to the Passchendale Museum was most informative.

Memorable and Moving - A memorable and moving experience for me, my wife and two teenage girls. We had only limited time in Lille, but I was keen to see the WW1 battlefields where my great grandfather fought. Claude’s tour was exactly what we needed. He is extremely knowledgeable on all things WW1 and has a well planned and paced tour. The Fromelle’s and Passchendaele museums we visited exceeded expectations. Our girls loved the immersive experiences at both and the tunnels and trenches walk throughs (and the toasties for lunch!). We have no hesitations recommending this tour - a must do for those with an interest in the Australian involvement in Flanders. Thank you Claude

A memorable tour - The whole tour was amazing . The places we saw, the knowledge that Clayde shared with us. We could take as much time as we needed at each place. It is hard to put into words but a tour of a lifetime and a must for all

Fabulous tour which we will remember for ever - Our guide Claude had an inexhaustible knowledge of the history of the WW1 Battles that took place around the Ypres area. We were taken to so many battle scenes. The Hill Sixty with its massive crater was one of the most fascinating. being able to view the private collection belonging to a local historian was gold. The war graves at Tyne Cot really brought home a sense the scale of loss of life that occurred. We visited on Anzac Day so the last post at Ypres was particularly memorable.

An Amazing Experience - We cannot thank Claude enough for the wonderful experience we had touring the Australian World War I Battlefields. His knowledge is endless, and it is very obvious that he is passionate about the subject matter. The morning began in the pouring rain, with bright sunshine in the afternoon, and finished with the last post at the Menin Gate at 8 o’clock, which was a very moving end to an incredible day. We highly recommend this tour.

Excellent - Our guide provided excellent insights and information as we toured selected WW1 sites in Northern France and Belgium during this one day tour. Being a small group we were able to easily interact with the guide, asking questions and gaining a better understanding of the Western Front. The Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate was wonderful & very moving. Highly recommend this tour.

Great Day - Claude is a fantastic host and guide. Amiable, knowledgeable and professional, he judged the pace of the tour and our interest in certain subjects to keep it from being boring. He explained the horrors of the War while being impartial. A great tour and a must for anyone interested in the history of this horrendous and wasteful time in history
