We’re planning a trip to Pozo Negro in Fuentes de Ayódar – an enchanting natural pool nestled in Sierra de Espadán. Commonly referred to as the Black Well or ‘unfathomable pool’, due to its three meter depth, it serves as a bathing spot near the Fuente del Zuro vicinity. Created over time by gradual erosion caused by water impact, it is renowned for its cold, pristine, and clear water. This natural pool is situated amidst the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park’s mountainous region, perfectly placed between Fuentes de Ayódar and Torralba del Pinar, and just 2 kilometers from the former. To access it provides an opportunity to behold a landscape abundant with pines, cork oaks, holm oaks, and vibrant vegetation blending harmoniously with the reddish mountains – a distinctive hue of rodeno, a type of red sandstone.

Wonderful waterhole and waterfall. - A beautiful hike. We started with a coffee, hiked to a waterhole where we could swim. Before we drove back to Valencia we had a refreshing beer.

El Pozo Negro with Valencia Mountain Enthusiasts - Really enjoyed this day trip from Valencia. The hike was challenging but not too hard and the swimming hole was a wonderful place to cool off at the end.

Great hike... again! - It has been my second hike with Dmitri so far and I enjoyed it again a lot. I could relax, enjoy the walking and admiring astonishing views and chat with fellow hikers because Dmitri thought about everything in advance. We started with a cup of coffee in a village bar to immerse in the local atmosphere and then off we went. He also found a lovely spot to have lunch we brought with us. What's also important he's checking once in a while if everyone keeps the pace. That makes you feel comfortable. Very professional! Also the social aspect is amazing! So, thanks everyone and see you on a trail!

Awesome hike - I had a good time with group. It was my 3rd hike with Dmitrijs. I highly recommend dmitrijs for hiking and outdoor activities.

Hike Your Way to a Lifetime Memory - I’m not much of a hiker, but I may be now. Our host was so kind and friendly, just to be in nature and let him lead was so worth this event. The pickup from our place went super smoothly. Our destination gave you a completely different side of Spain, and that’s what we all needed and enjoyed. it was so peaceful!!
He has some other excursions, and I’m upset we didn’t do those, as well as this one, ha!
When we come back we will use him. And advice to Dmitry our guide- make some tshirts to sell because we would have bought them! :)
An experience that I’ll remember and my friends will remember for our lifetime, thank you thank you thank you!!

Beautiful swimming spot - Best natural summer swimming spot ...beautiful...natural...amazing spot. Dmitri is always well organized with a good plan for the day. He got us there and provided us with lots of time to swim and relax.

Well organized. Including transport to the start of the hike. Small groups. International participants. - Dmitry takes you to all the beautiful spots. The groups are small and I had very interesting conversations. The Easy and Medium classified hikes are also for the not so well trained hikers do able. Swimming in the waterholes and near the waterfalls was an amazing experience.

Awesome one day hike - Amazing one day getaway!
Great hike with nice views all the way and what is most important amazing culmination point - el Pozo Negro.
Everything, including transfer, was brilliantly organized by guide Dmitry - there was nothing to worry about, so I could enjoy the hike.
Can definitely recommend!
