I cannot recommend it enough - I have done two tours with city unscripted during this trip to Kyushu, Japan. It was a suggestion on booking.com and I thought why not, since I was travelling alone. I cannot recommend it enough! In the two cities I visited, I was guided by lovely and knowledgeable locals (in both cases expats who had lived long in their respective cities and knew and liked them well) — I spent two wonderful days sightseeing without having to organise any of it and chatting away with friendly and interesting people. I’m very happy to have booked those tours — I think they added a whole level of satisfaction to my Kyushu experience!

An awesome tour with a great tour guide! - Bruce is a very kind and knowledgeable guide. He took us around town for a foodie tour and was able to provide us with the history, or information about the place or the food we sampled. I would definitely recommend him as your English-speaking local guide in Fukuoka. Thanks Bruce.

Tour guide Bruce Exceeded expectations - Bruce was fantastic and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Not only did he take us to some fun new places- including a Gyoza festival! - he went above and beyond to assist us with an emergency in a foreign country- & his fluent English and Japanese greatly helped!!

Sumire is terrific!!! - We arranged a private morning walking tour with Sumire. Sumire is from Fukuoka and teaches English when she is is not guiding tourists. Her English is very good. Sumire will tailor the tour to your suggestion. We visited Ohori Park to visit the beautiful garden there. We then went over to the adjacent area of the Fukuoka Castles Ruins to learn about some history of the area. Then we walked through the Kawabata covered street to the Kushida Shrine. Sumire's answers greatly helped in orienting ourselves to the city core, including using the local bus and subway. She suggested several favorite eateries including a nearby udon shop. We probably would have never found this shop on our own, it was very delicious. It was great to connect with a local in learning about the place we are visiting.

Fukuoka trip - This was my first time to come to Fukuoka, and I was very nervous. I was looking forward to it but also afraid of getting hurt (just kidding). When I found out there was a local tour guide, I was really happy and made an appointment immediately. Bruce was very patient and introduced a lot of relevant information. I am really happy with the people and things in Kyushu. I like the antique flavor of Kyushu and hope to travel again

Beautiful City - Guide Yu was very polite and knowledgeable, time ran fast and we visited many interesting places, we tried a delicious matcha ice cream by Ohori park and other sweets on the way. Weather was very good. Thanks for your time.

Eli is our fave - ELI made our day sooo amazing, she was so great to hang out with! We visited some shrines and some thrift shopping spots and checked out super delicious snacks. All great hidden gems and really entertaining, not too tiring at all, very relaxed :) Even when it rained abit Eli made the trip really fun,

Great tour guide, excellent tour. - Eli was a great guide, knowledgeable and organized. We walk slowly, and she didn't try to hurry us. Because of our pace, we didn't get to see everything on the list, but we saw what was important to us. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour with Eli.

Luis showed us a great time in Fukuoka - We had a free evening in Fukuoka and Luis Matos was able to make the most of it for us. He had true local knowledge and escorted us around to wonderful places that were not typical tourist spots. Very responsive and fun. Really a special evening enjoying the sights, culture, and food of Fukuoka. Thank you Luis and Posty!
