Culture, food and waterfalls in 1 day - This trip was an amazing way to combine several experiences in Luang Prabang. The bamboo experience was very interesting and the guide goes into detail about the various cultural uses of bamboo in Laos. A master bamboo weaver is then available to demonstrate to you how to make bamboo products. I then enjoyed “home cooking with mum” which showed several varied uses of bamboo in Laos cuisine. The food was delicious and the setting right beside the rice paddies and karst mountains was very beautiful. A local musician also performed using bamboo wind instruments whilst performing local dance - I don’t know how he has the lungs to do that! After this I was driven to and from the waterfalls to spend as much time there as I pleased. Hotel pick up and drop off was included. All in all this was a very memorable day and a great way to experience the culture and scenery of Luang Prabang whilst also supporting some very talented locals.
