Magic Dolphin - We depart from the marina in Funchal and head offshore to encounter whales, dolphins, sea turtles and oceanic birds.
Our spotters on land use powerful binoculars to find the animals and send the boat directly to them!
Once we have explored offshore we typically cruise by Cabo Girão, the 2nd tallest sea cliff in the world. We then motor along the coast while the staff explain different points of interest like; Camara de Lobos Bay – a traditional fishing village; the world famous Reid’s Hotel where Winston Churchill used to stay during his visits to Madeira Island and much more!
You will be able to relax comfortably enjoy the beautiful views of the south coast of Madeira Island from our flagship vessel.

This one-of-a-kind, purpose-built catamaran comes fully equipped with hybrid-electric engines - the only one of its kind in Madeira Island. It was intricately designed to guarantee passengers an unforgettable, safe and comfortable journey. The hybrid-electric engines help reduce noise and emissions, making it a fantastic experience for our guests and our cherished sea mammals!
The boat includes double decker viewing areas, four trampoline nets at the front, two restrooms and two bars where beverages and snacks can be purchased.
Our certified crew is ready to provide everyone with an unparalleled experience. They are eager to share their expertise about the wildlife we’ll encounter, Madeira’s history and popular local spots.

Please arrive at the Funchal marina 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. All guests must check in with our friendly staff at our kiosk for a boarding pass. In respect to all of our guests the boat leaves on time. If you miss the boat, you will be not be issued a refund.

Brilliant for those with limited mobility - My husband has very limited mobility due to dementia. The crew were absolutely fantastic. He was able to leave his mobility scooter by the gangway and the crew helped him on to the boat. They were so patient and I can't praise them enough.
We both had a wonderful time and got to see dolphins although unfortunately he can't remember now but I have lovely memories of a wonderful trip.

Dolphins and calves await you - On May 25, we were really lucky! On several occasions we were accompanied by a multitude of dolphins! Then we encountered calves blowing! And finally, we took a dip in the ocean under Christ the King! We highly recommend.

Awesome animals and swimming - We had a great time seeing dolphins, sharks and getting to swim! This was such a cool experience and they did a great job at explaining everything. My friend and I were the only people to get in the water since it was a bit chilly, but they let us take our time and everyone was so nice.

Magical experience - A superb catamaran trip! We were lucky enough to see two groups of dolphins, two different species. It was magical ! And to make it all better, the crew was very welcoming, funny and attentive!

What a privilege. Fantastic trip. - Wow! This was an amazing trip. We were fortunate enough to see a large number of Pilot whales, some Atlantic Spotted Dolphins and a Bottlenose Dolphin. The crew was extremely sympathetic to the animals and very knowledgeable about them and we enjoyed the additional information imparted towards the end of the trip. I would really recommend this trip. Don’t visit aquariums!

Great trip - Had a brilliant trip yesterday with The Magic Dolphin Eco catamaran. The crew were brilliant and informative. We had great sightings of bottle nosed dolphins! Vessel well maintained and clean and comfortable.

Meeting with dolphins - Everything was perfect, timing respected, very friendly staff, explanations on board, 10 min stop for swimming and, above all, a colony of spotted dolphins who were happy to have their photos taken

Brilliant and respectful company! - We had a fantastic trip. We love how the company respect the dolphins and their environment. We saw a big group of dolphins, we took some great videos and pictures. The staff were fantastic and told us lots about the dolphins we had seen. They were respectful to the dolphins, only staying tor a certain time and staying distant from the dolphin, allowing them to come to us. We were so happy with the trip. Thank you so much!
