- Wear light shoes in the summer, hiking boots for the winter season
- Towels, flip-flops and a dark swimming suit due the iron origin of the thermal waters or alternatively a old one are recommended for the hot springs baths.
- Dress in layers as temperatures can change quickly. In the cooler months (November through March), bring a light sweater or jacket.
- Please arrange beforehand for vegetarian options
- Pregnant women and people with low blood pressure or any other medical condition should consult a phisician before using the thermal pools

Great, thorough tour - I thought this tour was such a complete experience! Communication prior to the tour was also prompt. The tour had a great pace, and though we did lots of activities, and learned new facts, we never felt rushed and moved along. Hervé was a great guide.

Really Great Experience/Excellent Guide - This was such a lovely evening spent with others. I initially booked this without realizing the dinner was at a restaurant - I, for some reason, thought we would be eating outdoors near the volcano. So, when I learned it was at a restaurant, I was a little disappointed as we had rented a car and knew about the restaurant/hot springs so, we could have just done it on our own. It wound up being worth it though. Our guide, Hugo, was truly wonderful and knowledgeable and it was really nice to hear things from a local's perspective - he was so great at pointing out additional highlights and showing us things we would have otherwise missed. He made the experience really great and memorable and it also wound up being fun to have the experience with others.

Wonder to explore - What a nice place, food and thermal bath. Tour guide Eduardo was phenomal and went above and beyond. Like his surprise by almost ending of his tour. A 10+ for him.

A fun and interesting evening. - Great evening! Hugo is a wonderful host! We learned a lot from him. We had a nice mix of people on our trip and had a fun time at the pools. Highly recommended!
Note that it is a long evening. We got back around midnight.

Perfect end to our holiday! - Experiencing Furnas at night gave it a mystical feel. The thermal baths were amazing - such a relaxing way to spend our last evening on the island. We enjoyed a lovely meal at Tony’s is the company of our small group. Our guide Filipe was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Amazing tour! - What an amazing tour! My (adult) daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our outing. Eduardo was friendly, informative, and a wonderful guide! The day was perfect for clear views, the food was abundant and tasty, the fumerols were impressive, and the relaxing thermals under the stars were were a perfect end to the evening. Don't miss this!

AMAZING experience with our tour guide Hugo - We had a GRAND adventure exploring different lookout points, hidden gems and beautiful views with our remarkable tour guide Hugo. Dinner was delicious and so many options were available. The hot springs were relaxing and we were given more than enough time to bask in the different pools and visit the gift shop. Hugo took the time to teach us about the Furnas and showed us the special “Purple Green Tea”. This is an experience you would not want to miss. THANK YOU, HUGO, until next time.

Ok tour - This tour could have been more informative and interesting. Eduardo took good physical care of us, especially during the pouring rain but was fairly quiet. Even at dinner, he kept to himself instead of joining the conversation. The thermal baths were very enjoyable.
