Highlights
  • The Prospect of Whitby - Our guide will take you through the history of The Prospect of Whitby, London’s oldest riverside pub, dating back to 1520. The tour includes sampling a beer/ale. (include 10mins of walking from station)
  • The Captain Kidd - Originally a coffee warehouse and converted into a pub in the 1980s. It is named after the seventeenth century privateer William Kidd, who was hanged at the nearby Execution Dock in 1701. The pub has a nautical theme and retells the story of Captain Kidd and his execution; the layout of the pub is designed to be similar to a ship’s hulk. The attractive pub has a terrace overlooking the River Thames. Here we will stop and sample another beer/ale. Our guide is happy to recommend your brew. (include 5 mins. walk to next pub)
  • Town of Ramsgate - Another charming and historical pub along the river in Wapping. It’s quite cosy compared to the other pubs on the tour and has stood on this spot since at least 1545. It has a great choice of ales and beers, and a lovely riverside terrace. The tour includes another beer/ale of your choice. (Include 5 mins. walk to next pub)
  • Wapping - Our guide will take you through some of the landmarks and monuments of Wapping to give you an insight into the history of the area.
