Embark on an independent excursion from Geneva that will take you across the Swiss-French border to one of the most renowned villages in the French alps - Chamonix, situated at the base of majestic Mont Blanc; Europe’s highest mountain.

Climb aboard the quaint red cogwheel train chugging to Montenvers, where you will be treated to striking views of Mer de Glace. This majestic glacier extends for 4 miles (7km) and has an average width of just under a mile.

- Please dress appropriately for a day in the mountains; even if it is warm and sunny in Geneva, it can be cold and wet in Chamonix or at the top of the Aiguille du Midi and on the Mer de Glace
- The operation of the Aiguille du Midi cable car and Mer de Glace train are both subject to local weather conditions on the day
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel, as you will be traveling from Geneva (Switzerland) to Chamonix (France)
