Literally savoring history❣️ - We learned much about Italian history because it is reflected in the food. We “knew” about USA foods labeled “Italian” but they are nothing like the REAL thing! Pesto, ravioli, gelato, sweets, pastries, etc all have specific ingredients - all stuffed pasta are NOT ravioli just as all oil with chopped ingredients is not “pesto.” Foods in Italy also vary by region. So, having something described and explained while you taste it is a history lesson you won’t forget.
