Heart of Genova Highlights - The tour was perfectly tailored to 2 couples. Fulvio provided so much history and a great overview. It’s amazing how much we saw in just 2 hours.

Historical information was very in depth. - The comparisons of the churches were incredibly interesting. Our pace was just perfect for our group of four. Fulvio was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Great value - We booked this tour as we had never been to Genoa before and wanted a quick overview of the city. We have been on several private tours in the past and although they are more expensive than large group tours we believe you get a better, more personalised experience. Our guide, Niccolò was a Genoese native who spoke excellent English was very engaging and personable. He had contacted us before the tour to ask if there were any particular things we wished to see. We told him we were interested in history and architecture and he based his tour round those topics. Niccolo really knew his city and was very enthusiastic in his presentation. He showed us some wonderful buildings and hidden gems you simply wouldn’t find on your own, especially in the old town which is a tangle of narrow medieval streets. We returned to some of Niccolo’s recommendations over the next few days for a longer look as the 3 hours with him went so fast. All in all this is an excellent tour which was well worth the money in our opinion.

Perfect day in Genova - Our Guide Andrew was the highlight as he customized our tour to our interests and experiences. The 3 hr length was perfect for us. He brought the history of Genova to life.

Genoa: Private walking tour with local guide . - Our guide Niccolo is very knowledgeable and accommodating. He showed us all important buildings & landmarks, cultures, history with extended explanations. The day ended with heavy rain, but we still enjoyed it.

Fabulous walking tour with Fulvio - We were a small group of 8 people and we had a fabulous walking tour with Fulvio, our tour guide! Fulvio took us to many hidden places that as tourists we would not know to go there by ourselves. Fulvio was very knowledgeable of the history of Genoa, and Fulvio was also fun, kind and caring. We highly recommend this walking tour with Fulvio!

Highly recommended for a personal tour - Francesca our guide for the duration was great ! She was warm and personable and showed a real pride of Genoa and gave us a good overview of the city ! She took us to a local Trattoria and then to the top of the hill to see the layout of the city !

Genoa walking tour - Our guide's English accent was hard to understand. He often struggled with finding words. His knowledge seemed lacking as well. I think he was either a substitute or a trainee.

we had a terrible time and still await your response to our complaint - I am not sure if you were informed of the incident that occurred on our private walking tour yesterday? Our guide took us up an elevator in Genoa and we were supposed to have paid for ticket but nobody informed us, note guide was with us. When we got to the top we were stopped by administrative police and had an extremely bad experience with the police (very rude and hostile towards us, refused to even attempt to explain anything to us), was extremely embarrassing and humiliating situation for us to be treated like criminals in a public forum, with many people walking past us to the lifts. Note we are both senior professional people and have never experienced this before in 25 years of traveling. Because of not having tickets, that we should have bought downstairs for €1,50, to each pay a fine of €42 (total €84) to get the police to stop harassing us so we could get out of this situation. We have the reciepts as proof of this. We are upset that we had to pay this as this is was not our fault and police were extremely hostile towards us, we will be lodging a complaint against them (have got their badge details). We would like to know what you as operator going to do to assist/refund us for this as not our fault as we at no time were told to buy tickets, all information at ticket purchases is in Italian, which we don’t speak. We also believe you as an operator should lodge a complaint because this is not the way innocent tourists should be treated. We have already advised two family members who are suppose to visit Genoa next month to rather go to another city because Genoa seems to be a police state. Please advise how you propose to resolve this situation?
