Fabulous food and wonderful guide - Kevin was a wonderful guide that took us to many local places we would never find as tourists. We enjoyed a broad range of Malaysian food and he explained all the origins. So worth it at the beginning of your stay to understand where to go and what to eat local style!!

Wonderful experience eating your way through Penang. - Had an amazing time in Penang recently on the Eat Like a Local tour. As the title says, you get to try a large number of amazing spots that you'd likely never find unless you were a local. I lost count of how many dishes I tried! Jesi and her trusty driver were knowledgeable and professional, and made me feel very welcome. Would highly recommend.

Expert Food Tour - As a vegetarian, I was well looked after by the company and our guide Kevin who makes sure each stop had tasty offerings for both myself and my meat eating husband. Don’t have lunch before you go! We made 5 stops varying from local restaurants to street food. The places were all packed with locals—is there a better recommendation for a restaurant? Would be great to do in your first night so you know what to go back and sample in your own.

Penang with the locals. - A great experience with Kevin. Enjoyed the variety of foods and the street food vibe that was evident throughout. A big tip , turn up hungry as there is a lot of dishes to work through.

Eat like a local Buttersworth Malaysia tour - Amazing tour!!! Worth every penny! Kevin was amazing and very knowledgeable of the culture and all the hidden food spots. We tried 20 different food spots and saw so many cool sites. 100% recommend doing this tour! You will not regret it!

Perfect for food lovers! - The food tour in Penang with Kevin was fantastic! We sampled so many delicious local treats. Some were so unique and unlike anything we’ve eaten before. Others were the best versions of foods we’ve enjoyed in other places, including other parts of Malaysia and Singapore. Not only did we eat things we never would have eaten had we not taken this tour, we ate a places we never would have visited without Kevin bringing us to them. We didn’t see a single tourist at these places. Most of them specialized in the particular food we sampled. In addition to food, Kevin helped us understand life in Penang. We walked along a jetty as he explained how the residents lived there and in the public housing we could see from there.

Must do in Georgetown. - Kevin is an incredibly knowledgeable guide, taking us to his favourite spots.
Do not eat lunch. Have a hearty breakfast to see you through till 5pm.
Being transported in the car is a wonderful restbite from the heat.
Must do for travellers to Penang.

Highly Recommend Kevin and Janice! - Kevin and Janice were exceptional guides! They were knowledgeable and very organized. As a team they transported us in their clean and air-conditioned van to around 5 or 6 hawker stands, restaurants , food carts and a few historical places of interest. The next day I noticed 2 credit cards had fallen out of my wallet and I contacted Kevin to check and see if they were in the van. Within minutes Kevin and Janice found the cards and delivered them to me. They were both professional, genuinely friendly and passionate about their food tour!

We would recommend this tour while heartedly - Lots of interesting and tasty food. Little walking as we were transported by van which was nice. The guide certainly knew her stuff.

Lots of different dishes, lots of different tastes, lots of fun! - This is an amazing experience and with Kevin showing you around, it is really memorable.
Kevin knows where to get the right food, has background stories and took us to places we would have never ever considered to visit ourselves, or even had known what to order.
Kevin is very friendly and helpful and has been a chef himself and therefore knows what effort and love has been put in preparing everything we have tasted around George Town.
We also visited areas of the town outside the touristic routes which gave a added dimension to our visit.
Go with an open mind, a curiosity and empty stomach, you will not be disappointed!
