- Frituur Tartaar - We meet at Hostel Upperlink for a short introduction of our food culture, followed by a taste of the best fries in town at Frituur Tartaar. Once our guide tells you the story of the fries, you’ll never call them French fries again!
- OOOST - Next stop is Ooost, the regional center for local products, to tell you about the famous Ganda ham and give you a taste of delicious pie.
- Sophieâs sweets & chocolates - Next on the menu is a chocolate treat, handmade in Gent. Our guide will tell you the story of chocolate and offer you a praline in the shape of Jan van Eyck’s holy lamb.
- The Waffle Factory - Next on the menu are waffles, a popular treat since medieval times. We’ll tell you the origins of the food and offer you a taste.
- Groentenmarkt - At this artisanal candy stand you get to taste a delicious local candy that we try to keep hidden from the rest of the world.
- Artevelde Brewery - We end the tour at a brewery to tell you the story of beer and offer you a ticket for a free beer at a second brewery in town.

Belgium treats - I was pretty happy to find a pay-what-you-can food tasting tour of lovely Gent given many food tours can be quite expensive.
I relatively short (90 mins) tour full of interesting tidbits of information as well as the best of Belgian treats - Belgian fries with stew topping; chocolates, waffles.
Recommend as an introduction to all yummy things Belgian.

Fantastic gastronomic tour - A fantastic trip with Julian experiencing the gastronomic delights of Ghent and Belgium. Julian was very knowledgeable and friendly and the tastings were amazing. Highly recommend this trip.

A very flavory and enjoyable tour! - Hamraz was our guide, she is very fun and cheerful.
The tour was very well thought, giving you a good glance of all the things you need to try in Ghent: chocolates, waffles and other sweets, fries (don't call them French fries here 🤣) with its typical sauce, and of course beers!
All the tasters were completely free except for the beer, in fact, the tour ends in a local brewery in front of one of the main landmarks, so you can sit in a terrace and order a nice local beer.
She gave us discounts tickets and codes for boat trips, stores, and restaurants; and also shared with us her personal list of spots to eat, drink and have a snack.

Excellent snapshot of the food in the city - We had an excellent tour with Jeremie. Very knowledgeable and interesting food "snapshot" of the city. Highly recommended.
