• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Visit the Egyptian Museum, the oldest in Egypt, renowned for its collection of over 250,000 pieces of Egyptian art spanning 5,000 years. The museum also houses the Tutankhamen room, which contains treasures, jewelry, and gold that were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before its discovery in 1920. The museum, built in a neo-classical style by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, honors the French scientist Marriott, who conceived the idea of establishing the first museum in Egypt. Inside the museum, you will find a tomb commemorating his memory.
