Highlights
  • Finnieston Crane - We stop and get a close up view of the crane and the various other cultural buildings around, we would only view this from the outside
  • The Riverside Museum of Transport and Travel - As we view this from the outside, we will learn about some interesting artefacts and the historic suburb of Govan
  • The Clyde and the Kelvin - We cycle along the cycle paths of both of Glasgow’s rivers and if the mood takes us, we stop off at a couple of points along the way
  • Kelvin Hall - Take in the new cycle path past the historic Kelvin Hall
  • Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - Our guests get a close up view of one of the real jewels in the crown of Glasgow and one of the finest free museums in the world. We share some of the most interesting facts behind the building, this is an external visit only
  • Kelvingrove Bandstand and Ampitheatre - We use this as an optional toilet stop (note - we can’t guarantee it is always open!) and of course it’s a great spot for taking pictures and going down memory lane for some of the amazing artists who have performed here. This is an external visit only
  • University of Glasgow - We get up close to one of the finest viewpoints across the city and take guests right inside the famous cloisters underneath the spires. We discuss some of the most famous alumni and also some of the things that make the university unique. This stop has a bit of an incline to get there but it is entirely worth it!

Additional Information

We turn residents into visitors and visitors into residents.

We’re a homegrown tour business focused on enlightening our guests with the deep societal history of some of the most recognizable locales in the city.

We navigate using fully restored former Royal Mail bicycles, each named after prominent (and sometimes not so popular) women from Glasgow, with a hope to make all our visitors treasure the city as passionately as we do.

Our tour paths are secure and feature picturesque parks, water bodies, and make use of Glasgow’s developing bicycle trail. If an electric bike is required, do let us know, as we can usually facilitate this.

We offer tours that span both historical and modern Glasgow, touching on topics such as history, architecture, culture, and immigration.

Great experience with good guide - Great Bike ride. You are taken around an area of Glasgow you would not normally see if you were just walking. Informative and interesting guide. Bikes were sterdy and safe, although quite heavy.

Great, surprising tour off Glasgow - On June 2, during our second day in Scotland, we arrived in Glasgow and what better way to explore the city than by bike. We contacted Gallus Pedals and immediately helped in a nice way by Martin. He thought along well, because I was not sure due to my health whether I could cycle the entire tour. I opted for an electric bicycle and that was a good choice. Our guide Connor was very enthusiastic and cheerful and told the most beautiful stories. Another wonderful experience for us to get to know such a city. Thank you Connor and of course Martin, who finally arranged for my husband to also use an electric bicycle. Good service. I know where to find you if I am ever in Glasgow again and I can recommend this company to everyone. Greetings, Gerty Verstappen, Leudal, Netherlands

One of the best tours in Glasgow - This ride was one of the best tours we did in Glasgow. Conner was friendly and informative. We were able to see much more of the city than on a walking tour. He kept us off the main roads for most of the tour and we felt very safe. The electric bike was an extra plus especially up the hills. Highly recommend.

Informative and friendly tour of Glasgow - We were welcomed and sorted with bicycles quite quickly and and were on out way. Our guide Conor was very friendly and informative and showed us some great parts of Glasgow, cycling along the Clyde and through ares of the city that are outside the pedestrianised shopping streets and George Sq area. Plenty of stops with information about local landmarks and about the culture of the city. Very enjoyable.

Wonderful way to tour the city! - What a delightful way to get introduced to a complex, fascinating city! Our guide, Conor, was smart and had a gift for sharing his knowledge with us that was both interesting and entertaining. I really can’t think of a better way to get introduced to the charms of Glasgow. Bonus: his recommendation for a lunch spot was perfect! Thank you, Conor!

An adventurous bike tour of Glasgow. - My wife and I booked a group bike tour with Gallus Pedals online late one night, and when we arrived to meet the guide the next day, Martin hadn't been notified that he had a tour. He was very apologetic and offered to upgrade our tour to a private e-bike tour for our troubles. I'm glad we waited a bit for him, because the bike tour was a highlight of our Glasgow trip...even though it rained. You can ride in the rain and dry off with a pint in a pub after. At least that's what we did. We covered many interesting parts of Glasgow that we wouldn't have seen otherwise, including visiting an amazing venue where the world's best street artists painted murals on shipping containers to be placed in cities across the globe. Martin was knowledgeable and fun. He brought old photos to show us how radically the docks and other areas had changed. Our ebike tour was fast and fairly easy (even in the rain!). It covers a lot more of Glasgow's waterfront and old colleges that bear a striking resemblance to the buildings in Harry Potter. Martin personalized the tour to what we expressed interest in. There's a reason this is the #1 outdoor activity in Glasgow. This is no boring shuffle around and listen to a guide drone on. For folks who like a little adventure in their tour, don't miss Gallus Pedals.

Fun way to see a lot of the city up close. - What a great way to get around and see the city. We were a family group of 6 (ages 12-70) and we all had a great time. My grandson said it was the best thing we’ve done so far. Our guide Conor was knowledgeable about the history and legends of olden times. We covered about 7 or 8 miles (according to someone’s fitness tracker) and we saw A LOT of the city up close. Conor took pictures of our group in scenic spots whenever we asked. Note to older or less fit persons: there are some hills so if you think you need it, they do allow to upgrade to e-bikes. I’m the 70 year old in my group and I did ok with the regular bike but there were a few more hills than I expected. All in all, a fun time was had by all! Would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful bike tour - Highly recommended! The bikes were comfortable and well maintained, and our guide Conor was friendly, knowledgeable, and high-energy. It was lovely to bike along the Clyde, see many of Glasgow’s murals, ride through the park, and visit historic sites.

Best Sunday in Glasgow - Fantastic way to tour Glasgow and learn of its story and people. Great company, too. Our guide tailored to our interests and we were able to spend some time on the Glen Lee and at the Riverside Museum.
