- Cotswold Plant House - At the Make-Your-Own-Terrarium Bar, I’ll guide you through the process of creating terrariums, which are the ultimate low-maintenance, self-sustaining ecosystems. You’ll understand the function of each layer in the jar and then assemble it yourself. This is a self-directed activity, so I won’t be hovering over you, but I’ll check in periodically to assist and ensure everything is going smoothly.
The process of making terrariums is straightforward, but the beauty of doing it yourself is that you can be as meticulous—or not—as you like. It generally takes about 25-30 minutes, but there’s no time limit, so feel free to take your time perfecting the decorations.
The shop will remain open to other customers while you’re at the bar, but your session is a private booking, so no one else will join you while you’re making your terrariums.

This activity is suitable for all ages. It’s a great creative activity for kids. If they’re old enough to use a knife & fork then they’ll be able to do this. It’s also lovely as a date for couples, or as a souvenir of your Cotswold adventures for tourists. The terrariums are packaged up when done as to be taken home safely.
Aside from getting to enjoy making the terrariums in the cosy, green, Cotswold oasis, and looking out on window views of the Stable Yard, you’d also be supporting a completely independent new small business.
