Another amazing time in Provence with Remi - My husband and I just spent a week in AIX en Provence and two of those days were with Remi. This was our second time touring with Remi who we found so knowledgeable on the history and wines of the region. Our first day was custom wine tasting day with a stop at the medieval village of Les Baux. The vineyards ranged from very small family operations to large exporters. Le Mas de la Dame was our favorite (Van Gogh did a painting of the house in 1889.) The second day we went to Gordes and Remi surprised us with a beautiful tour of the Luberon Valley. We could only imagine how beautiful it must be when the lavender is blooming. Besides being a delightful guide and excellent driver, Remi is a very interesting and entertaining companion. We can’t wait to return to spend more time learning about Provence, his home.
