Great tour with museum option - Our tour guide was excellent. She gave us the history along the way, ample time to take pictures, and walked at a comfortable pace so slower walkers could keep up. The optional Acropolis museum is worth the extra cost and time as it has original decorations from the Parthenon, and is the exact scale of the Parthenon so it's like you are walking through it. Highly recommend this tour.

Do NOT book this “tour” - We showed up early and they have you wait outside in the heat while they are in the ac. Then they assign you whisper speakers with really uncomfortable ear buds on a wire, so you’re carrying this heavy speaker and have this scratchy uncomfortable earbud. I was already irritated, but ok. Then they group you in a pack of about 25 people and you walk to the Acropolis. She rambled on and it was incessant and not interactive. There was no exchange or option to ask questions. We get into the Acropolis, and she stops at the base of the hill. We picked an early tour to beat the heat and the crowds. Instead, she is rambling on with her scripted lecture at just outside the entry with nothing to even look at yet while tons of other people are passing you by. We stood there with these crappy speaker earbuds listening for about 10 minutes before I finally gave up, pulled the scratchy bud out of my ear, and pulled my family to do our own tour. Did we learn as much? No, but I would NOT change it. It is a narrow walkway and stairs at the top of the hill, not to mention the heat, and when we went it up it wasn’t super crowded. We read the posts, looked around, took pictures, strolled, and checked it all out in the shade since there is a bit right at the start of the day. When we were starting to come down, it was super crowded on the stairs and walkway and you could see our sad little group just starting the walk up! I paid $180 for our family and literally just threw it away to leave this “tour.” I paid to have a personal interactive experience with a knowledgeable guide to take us early through before the crowds. That is NOT what you get with this. Do NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!
