Highlights
  • Albayzin - The neighbourhood is notable for its historic monuments and for largely retaining its medieval street plan dating back to the Nasrid period (13th to 15th centuries), although it nonetheless went through many physical and demographic changes after the end of the Reconquista in 1492. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1994, as an extension of the historic site of the nearby Alhambra.

  • Mirador de Los Carvajales - This viewpoint is hidden in the secluded Placeta of Carvajal in the lower part of the Albaicín district. It is very close to the Calle Calderería and the teahouses. Here you can get magnificent views of the Alhambra and the Generalife from the opposite hill.

  • Plaza Larga - Plaza Nueva is an urban space in the Spanish city of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, a large part of its floor plan is based on the Darro River that crosses it longitudinally from north to south, and on which it has been formed.

  • Paseo de los Tristes - The Paseo de los Tristes or Carrera del Darro is described by many as one of the most beautiful streets in the world. A cobblestone street parallel to the Darro River (River that gives gold) 500 years ago, as it is practically unchanged, as if paralyzed in a magical moment in time. Although many people link its poetic name with the melancholy of the landscape, with the river running at its feet, and the majestic Alhambra in the background, its name is due to the funeral processions that passed through it on their way to the cemetery that was next to the Alhambra, in the highest part of the Sabika, the hill on which the Alhambra rests.

  • The Alhambra - The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex located in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It is one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world, in addition to containing notable examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture.
